We booked this hotel to attend my brother’s graduation, mainly because it was within walking distance of the ceremony hall. We arrived on time for check-in, only to be told that an email had been sent ten minutes earlier saying our booking was moved to another hotel due to a maintenance issue. We were told by the staff that they wouldn’t be able to accommodate us and suggested moving us to another hotel about an hour’s walk from the ceremony hall. We had our pet with us, and when we reached the new hotel, we were informed that pets were not allowed. This led to a long and stressful situation - we spent over 3 hours speaking to various staff members, trying to find alternative accommodation. As a result, we missed an important family event. Eventually, Citadines offered us a room, upgraded our stay, and refunded ONLY the parking fee, which we appreciated. However, the main issue was how poorly the situation was handled. The team had not checked whether the alternative hotel accepted pets, and there was a complete lack of communication between staff - we had to keep calling and coordinating everything ourselves. We understand that maintenance issues can happen, but the way this was managed was unacceptable. Unfortunately, we would not recommend this hotel, as the team appeared unable to handle unexpected situations professionally.

Loved the area! Convenient for transportation around central London. Had a kitchenette in unit and a local grocery nearby. Saved some money by fixing our breakfast and packing some lunches. ( although the smell of food as we wandered took us in at times) Able to do laundry. Slept comfortably in an air conditioned room. Staff super friendly! Would stay here again!

Bizarre experience. Would never consider this hotel again nor recommend to others. On my first day, the fire alarm went off intermittently and not continuously, even as the hallways filled with smoke (this seems like a safety violation). The staff insisted nothing had happened, even after firefighters showed up. The hotel only has two small elevators, and one was broken for the entire duration of my 10 day stay (I spoke to the other guests and we calculated that it had been broken for at least the entire month prior). Guests, suitcases, and staff with service trolleys all used the remaining elevator and it was always busy and full. Taking the stairs meant having to walk through the garbage area. The room itself was fine. The AC worked and the bed was comfortable enough, but don’t expect to have it cleaned, your towels changed, or the trash taken out. For the ladies: the downcast lighting is atrocious and there are no plug sockets near the mirrors for you to style your hair. The free coffee machine in the lobby is truly carrying the team in terms of guest satisfaction.

On the plus side, excellent location, good access to the tube and food places. The rooms are clean, beds ok, everything you could reasonably need is provided.
