Holiday Inn Express Newcastle Gateshead by IHG
"Good value stay, with an ok breakfast. Our only complaints were the beds were a bit small, and you could only get heating to run for 2 hours maximum. Our room was like a fridge when we arrived at 9pm. We got it comfortable by 11pm, then realised at midnight we were freezing as the heating had cut out, so we had to turn lights on and reset the timer for another two hours of heat. All felt a bit Dickensian. Reception seemed a bit grumpy when we arrived, but check in was otherwise ok. Breakfast manager was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was fine for a freebie."
