Having read some other reviews I was dubioius and other Brittania hotel have in past been quite low standard. I booked this mainly on price and being able to walk just few minutes to airport and I was pleasantly surprised. Warm and comfortable, not the Hilton but bar, restaurant and good bedroom were great for my one night stay and for me decor etc was pefectly satisfactory

Very convenient stay and parking option when flying from Newcastle. The hotel is dated but it’s comfortable and can’t fault the value for money. Staff very friendly, parking only a few minutes walk from the terminal. Happy hour bar prices are excellent 👌 Pillows were rock hard in our room but I’m sure they’d have changed them if we’d asked at reception.

The only thing this hotel has in its favour is the location, it is very handy for Newcastle airport and walking distance. That concludes the positives. We stayed there the night before our holiday and had booked to stay again the night of our return but a 2 hour drive at 2am following 8 hours of travel was preferable to another night spent here. Check in was slow with only one poor receptionist to check everyone in and man the phones at the same time. Rooms are damp, tired, dated, noisy and grubby. For 2 adults we were given 1 hand towel and 1 bath towel. No shower gel is provided. One felt the cleaner option was to skip showering rather than use their facilities. Wouldn't recommend or care to repeat the experience. Second time I've stayed at a Britannia airport hotel and it seems they are consistent with their low standards.

Facilities were fine food was fine parking a tight squeeze but appreciate its a busy hotel staff were very helpfull but the most dissapointment was the bed which was not confortable and every turn you made whether just sitting on it or lying down made more noise than an orchestra i think it must have been older than the hotel building and spoilt our sleep
