The cabin and the spot by the water was great. However, the location was hard to get to and check in through the guardhouse was complicated. The amenities listed were not able to use or working condition, such as the outdoor fireplace and air hockey table. Check in was postponed 2 hours when we were within 30 minutes of arrival which was frustrating for the young travelers with us. Upon arrival some furniture was not in great shape and the coffee maker did not work. Information was sent through a different app, email and overall communication over load with not complete information such as the guardhouse pin to get in. The guardhouse staff was not friendly. Do not recommend.

Beautiful cabin, just book it, you won't be disappointed

I would not hesitate to stay here again. It was clean, large, beautiful, just like the pictures. There were deer and turkey all over the neighborhood. Management was easily available if needed. And it was convenient to so many activities-whitewater rafting, shopping, hiking, lake swimming! We had 12 people, ages 17-77, and there was plenty of room.

Ellijay vacation

Overall it was wonderful only a couple of snags that made it not perfect. We were not allowed to use the fireplace on the porch and we left an item I. The cabin when we checked out and are having some difficulty recovering our item. I know it is our own fault that we left it but as we are local we should have been able to go back to get it but it is a gated community and we were not allowed back in after our check out time

Off the beaten Path

The best part about the cabin is where it is located. The kids/families had a blast playing in the creek. There were several floats available for use on the creek but most had holes and were half-hazardly thrown under the deck. There was a nice fire pit out near the creek and we were able to make a fire there one evening. It is right on the road but very little traffic passes because the property is out of the way. The cabin advertised a hot tub, but it still wasn’t working. Additionally, many items are marked as “not amenities” so are not available for use by the guests. We couldn’t find cutting boards nor a can opener. Very few extra supplies if you are in a pinch. If you stay here bring your own paper products, can opener, trash bags, storage bags. While we appreciate the cabin being in the woods, the pests were just as much inside as outside. The bottom floor was a bit musty and that is where the bunk bed and additional guest bedroom are. The cleanliness leaves a lot to be desired. We were greeted by rodent droppings near the front door. It was a nice location, and if the weather cooperates, you will have a nice time outside.

Misleading outdoor pictures

They have pics of chairs around fire pit but thats neighbors. Fire pit is built on edge of a slope so not all of family members can gather around fire pit. To be honest not sure why the cleaning fee when we found vape pens all over bedrooms (our kids found them). Pretty dirty place overall. Dont think much maintenance is done on property at all. Some nice blankets would help as HVAC upstairs and downstairs are 15F different. Beautiful balcony but bugs/ants all over the place. Would not book this place again. Awesome access to the river but better options in the area.

Women's Bible Study Retreat

The property was lovely. The drive to the house was on a very curvy road and took 20 minutes from the front gate to the house. Everything was great, but we would not of wanted to drive back there in the dark.

Great location.

Air hockey table didn’t have a puck which disappointed all the kids. Cabin needs to be pressure washed on the outside and deep cleaned. TVs are kind of old and we couldn’t log into Netflix on any of them. Also the age of the tv’s meant we couldn’t stream football from our own ESPN or Directtv accounts so we missed watching the GA game. Over all the cabin was huge and accommodated us all well. The river runs the entire length of the property and was easy access in and out for the kids to play and fish.

Wonderful Place for a Girl's Getaway Weekend

This house was perfect for our Girl's Getaway Weekend. It had four bedrooms and three bathrooms, two of which had jetted tubs. While we never did watch TV or play a DVD, two of the bedrooms had TVs. The beds were comfortable, there were plenty of towels, sheets, blankets and pillows. We used the inside gas fireplace, and the outdoor firepit, which had four brand new chairs. The view of the river was wonderful, and walking the road was great. The kitchen had everything, including wine glasses, platters, casserole dishes, a toaster, Mr. Coffee, placemats and so many utensils. You should take a SUV, as a low car would not do well over the gravel roads. Follow the directions that they give you in the email. I highly recommend this cabin - but keep in mind that it takes about 20 minutes to get to it, once you are inside the resort, so making a "run" to the store in Ellijay is a "couple of hours" experience.

Relaxing River House

On arrival to this gated community, We gave the gate code provided in our check in email to the security guard and he could not let us in. I called VRBO and while on the phone with a Rep trying to figure out the problem, I noticed the gate code was different from the house lot number listed. The guard checked the lot number and was finally able to let us in. This typo caused a lot of frustration and time. You must follow the directions close to find the house, but it is worth it. A front wheel or all wheel drive is a must. The house is nice and located right by the river. Great for fishing or sitting by a fire, we did not want to leave. The beds were comfortable and all room spacious. The kitchen is equipped with plenty of dishes and nice cook wear, but there are no cabinets to store food. We kept all food out on the counter. The grill worked great and was very convenient. We would rent this property again.

Beautiful Location but hard to get to

The house was great and fit our needs. The inside was clean but the outside furniture could use some cleaning. Buyer Beware - The inside fireplace in unavailable until Oct 1st. The Fireplace on the outside patio has been inoperable since 2019. We did not even use the area around the fireplace as the furniture was dirty. If you want to use the fire pit by the water bring chairs. There are only two chairs left from what is in the picture. Overall it was a great place and we had a great time.

Perfect Cabin

This cabin was absolutely perfect for out family mountain vacation. It is secluded in the perfect location along a creek. The kids loved playing in the creek. The kitchen was fully stocked with plenty of pots, pans, utensils and all necessities. It was very very clean. There does need to be some upkeep. New grill, new outside rugs are needed, new chair by outside fire pit, bath tub on 3rd floor needs repaired as well as outside fireplace. But all in all it was fantastic and we highly recommend!
