Unfortunately our stay only lasted less than 30 minutes of our planned 2 nights. When we arrived the house was dirty, a door was open to the outside that let many bugs in flying around, the yard had trash and yard supplies all over. After some back and forth with the property management company and the owner, no one actually accepted blame. The owner said he wasn’t notified that it was rented for the weekend so it wasn’t cleaned. Clearly there isn’t a clear form of notification to ensure this doesn’t happen. The owner offered to have someone clean “a few hours from now”, but it was already 7pm. So we left the property and had to request a refund. The worst part is we were 5 hours from home, in a city with multiple big sports tournaments and on VRBO there were ZERO other homes left available that could fit our party size. We had to use another site and pay hundreds of dollars more. We did receive our refund 5 days later.

Before arriving at the property I contacted the host about securing some packages being delivered earlier then our arrival. The host brought the packages inside for us but failed to lets us know they did that or where they put them. When arriving we immediately noticed the water was shutoff and called the host who didn't answer. Someone picked up on the alternate phone number and said they would figure out what was going on. After a hour or so they tell us the water should be turned back on shortly. It was not. In fact the city didn't show up to turn the water back on until after we left for the day on our second day at the property. We didn't return until after midnight on our 3 day. They refunded us 1 day for the inconvenience but not for the second day. We ended up buying water to pour in the toilets just to flush them and used the local truck stop to pay for showers.They claim the kitchen was fully stocked but for a house that sleeps 10 people they had 4 plates and 4 sets of silverware. There was 1 stinky sponge to clean the dishes and no dish washer detergent. Also no hand towels, dish towels or dish drying rack. There was also only 1 roll of paper towel and very limited cleaning resources to help clean after day to day use. Many of the sheets and bedding had obvious staining on them as well. Multiple screens where off the windows and we put them back on for them. Overall it worked for what we needed needed but was more like a low rent motel then a nice hotel.

The downstairs bathroom was out of order and we weren’t told about it. There was One closet that had a horrible smell. There is not a pool table as listed. Overall the place was clean, quiet neighborhood, and communication with the host was awesome. I would go stay there again.
