No room even though we took your $ and reservation

We arrived to check in and were told there were no rooms available with 2 beds like we had reserved. Was asked is that a problem? Yes yes it is. We medically need separate beds. Ok the Marriott across the street will give you a room. We check into the Marriott and were told immediately not to expect free breakfast because they don’t offer it but we can go across the street to eat at the Hyatt if we want to. The doors are all locked from the street from Marriott to Hyatt and you have to walk around a city block to get in to one or the other. We trudge in to get breakfast but there are only plastic spoons and knives to eat with and the food is cold and doesn’t taste very good. This was a highly dissatisfying lodging experience. If I had known the hotel I booked didn’t have a room, I would have made a reservation elsewhere. Why people aren’t notified ahead of time that there is a problem with keeping the reservation is beyond me!

The room, parking and complimentary breakfast was amazing. Although the front desk staff did not feel welcoming, they were responsive to my requests. There was some kind of alarm going off right at my door. When I notified the front desk, they had it fixed immediately. I’m still not sure that I would return to this property just because of my first interactions with staff at check in

I would like to bring to your attention the chaotic and uninviting state of the breakfast area. Unlike many other Hyatt Place properties I had stayed before, food at this location was carelessly placed in a cramped corner, making it difficult for guests to access items without awkwardly maneuvering around one another. Overall, the breakfast setup appeared unappetizing and lacked a sense of healthiness.
