"I liked that the beds were comfortable and the only room noise was the air conditioner. That was "white noise," so it was easy to sleep through. What I could not hear at all was the 24 hour noise of Times Square, which was great! During the day the hotel lobby and public areas were filled with construction, which was inconvenient and unsightly, but not impossible. All staff, including the construction workers, were very helpful, friendly, and courteous. My only BIG complaint: the downstairs public bathroom. It smelled, was hot, and the trash was overflowing. You did not want to breathe while you were in it."

"Highly disappointed with my stay here over this past weekend. For as much as I paid to stay here I expected to be accommodated a bit more than I was. Coffee maker in room was broken. No wash rags in room. Ice machine was broken on our floor. No refrigerator but told we could have one with a “small” fee. Had to pay for luggage to be locked up. 6 dollars per item. There was 4 of us. So that got expensive quickly when I’ve been coming to New York for years now and always locked up my luggage for free. When asking front desk for items I just spoke about we were treated as if we were a bother and very annoyed attitude. I’ll definitely never stay here again my next visit."

"Here’s a polished version of your review that keeps your honest experience but sounds clear and balanced: I didn’t enjoy the first couple of nights of my stay. When I booked the hotel, I didn’t realize the room was an ADA/accommodations room. The shower setup was very inconvenient for us — water splashed everywhere, including the toilet paper and our clothes. The sink and room layout were also designed differently for accessibility needs, and there was no dresser or desk to put our belongings since the room needed extra space for a wheelchair. The next morning we went to the front desk to ask about changing rooms, but the lady helping us was very rude and told us there were no other rooms available. Thankfully, the following day another front desk employee named Melody was very kind and helpful and was able to find us a different room. We paid good money for the stay, and while I understand this is New York and the location is prime, the customer service did not feel welcoming or accommodating. Because of our experience, we would not stay here again. They said that was Hotel.com mistake not theirs."
