We were on the top floor, which was quiet and clean. Bed was comfortable. Everyone was very friendly. The location can’t be beat. This is the first place I’d try to stay when going to NYC next time.

Super Friendly Staff, Spacious Room

We loved our room even though we didn’t have a view. It was spacious and yet cozy. I’d probably frost the glass windows, but meh. The bathroom had added character. You had to step up on the toilet level to close the door, to step down and get toilet paper. The shower was hot and perfect. Overall, the location was fabulous, the staff were friendly, and we had a great stay!!

We had a queen bed and bathroom. The room is small, but definitely adequate. We missed having a fridge & microwave, but the cafe next door was a great option. The staff was always friendly and helpful. Thanks for a great stay.

The Hotel St James is a budget no frills hotel. There are no tea and coffee making facilities. However, the rooms are clean and comfortable. The staff are vèry helpful and friendly. The hotel is in a great location on West 45th Street, between Times Square and 6th Avenue. It's central to everywhere and is near the subway. There is a delicatessen next door, where you can purchase hot drinks and have breakfast and there is a pub a couple of doors away. There are other eateries nearby too. The Hotel is reasonably priced given its location. I have stayed here for a number of years whenever I have been visiting New York. I have no hesitation in recommending this hotel to anyone.

Amal and quaint! Close to everything. If you like to the right, you’ll find Broadway if you walk to the left you’re in Times Square. Many food choices close by mini bars close by just loved everything about it.

The Hotel is located conveniently a 3 minute walk to Times Square. Some inside parts are outdated like the washroom tiles, but the hotel has a nice vintage vibe. It’s clean, the staff are nice & helpful. It is a nice place to stay given that when you’re in New York you are mostly outside. You’re in the hotel to sleep, shower and be refresh. I would stay again at this hotel.

Excellent value and location is so convenient. Easy walk to broadway theaters, time square, and many restaurants. Our room had a very clean and updated bathroom. There was construction noise (not the fault of the hotel), but with only 12 floors we are not above the city sounds. Felt safe and the lobby is very welcoming.

The hotel rooms were small, but great for the price. The only issue we ran into was that in our room the hot water in the shower wasn't working properly. We had to keep turning the knob to just the right angle in order to get any hot water. Would still stay here again!

Hotel is in the heart of Broadway which is the purpose of our trip. Within walking distance of theaters, restaurants, tourist attractions, and especially the Metro. Our room was clean, quiet (not once did we hear the jackhammering from the streets), staff were very friendly and professional. Will definitely recommend this hotel to everyone.
