We stay here all the time - no frills, but always clean with a great staff and you can't beat the location. Best case you get a room on a lower floor and you can skip the elevator and use the stairs.

The hotel is a classic, older hotel that is very well maintained and kept very clean. The room was large (for a Manhattan hotel room) and was comfortable and clean. There are very few amenities in the room (no fridge or coffee maker) but o my steps from the hotel are coffee shops, delis, and restaurants. I had medication to be refrigerated and the staff provided me with ice and a container for my room. The staff was great and the location can’t be beat! I highly recommend this hotel!!!

Staff was friendly and responsive to every question or issue. Our heat was not working when we got in, and the maintenance worker immediately fixed it. He was kind, thoughtful, and paid attention to detail. When we requested a new battery for the TV remote control “whenever they got a chance,” it was addressed without hesitation. It’s an old hotel, but it’s grossly underrated.
