This room was very small and basic with no amenities for over $300/night. Florescent lights, loud clanging air conditioner, basic pillows and bed, no pictures on the wall. Not at all what I was expecting from the pictures online. I guess you are paying for the location, which is in Times Square, so close to a lot. I wouldn't choose to stay here again.

I hate giving bad reviews, but this one was earned. It’s a third world hotel just a block from Times Square. I have stayed in much nicer places in rural Tanzania and Ethiopia. Internet didn’t work most of the 2 days. Phone was not connected so I couldn’t even complain about Internet. I expect a hotel at this price in midtown to be small, but there’s really not excuse for how shabby it is. Even the water faucets in the bathroom don’t work correctly (you have to balance them carefullly to get them to turn off). It’s like they are trying to be terrible, and they certainly succeeded.

The hotel is conveniently located near Times Square and other attractions. The staff was nice. The downsides were that the room was not sound proof; we could hear noises in the hallway and from outside. The windows in our room were face to a wall, with no view and sunlight. Also, the bedsheet did not feel clean: we found some hair, and it was itchy.

The room was clean and beds were comfortable. Rooms came with a mini fridge, blow dryer, soap, shampoo/conditioner combo and plenty of towels, washcloths and hand towels. We asked for ice and the front desk clerk was accommodating. Room came with extra blankets, ironing board/iron and a safe. It had a window AC and it kept the room very cool in the middle of July. This is an old hotel and has lots of charm.

It was like walking into a 1950's movie with the decor and furniture. No bellhop. 2 elevators; one with a 4 person capacity and the other with a 6 person capacity. Smallest hotel bathroom ever. Their website is terribly misleading. They show a full bar, but the bar has not been in operation for over 10 years. The fire alarm on my floor had tape on it stating out of service. It doesn't offer any type of food or drinks including water. And speaking of water, Saturday morning the hotel's entire water shut down for hours. Just to name a few. Expedia should be embarrassed offering this location as part of a package. I will NEVER let Expedia pick a hotel for me and I doubt I will ever use them for air travel any longer.
