"This hotel is pure perfection. We stayed as three couples and we all enjoyed Hotel Medinacelli very much. The hotel is well-situated and within easy walking distance to the Gothic Quarter and metro stops/bus station. The multi-lingual front desk staff was very helpful and friendly. The breakfast buffet is the best I have ever had and was included in the price for our room. So delicious! Rooms and baths (particularly the shower) are large for Europe and very clean and well-appointed. We had a piazza facing room with two balconies. My only complaint (which was definitely not the hotel's fault) was the noise coming in to the room from the all-night fireworks from the city festival. It was exciting to stand out on the balcony and watch the crowds of young people heading to the beach and listen to the fireworks, but if you come during this festival, I recommend an interior room. Our friends that stayed in an interior room heard nothing. For any other non-festival stay, room 204 was fabulous. Overall a beautiful and convenient location in a beautiful city. We will definitely stay here again when we return to Spain!"
