We were thrilled to receive a large balcony on level 8 (we didn't expect our room to have a balcony). Was a lovely surprise. The view was superb. A very convenient location. Walking distance to gothic quarter area which was amazing. Plenty of shops and restaurants outside.

My second stay at Ramblas Hotel before a cruise. Beautiful room with a terrace. Great breakfast included. Take the RN2 train from Barcelona Airport terminal 2 to Passeig de Gracia transfer to Metro, just two stops to Liceu Metro. Ramblas Hotel is just two short blocks from Liceu. From Ramblas Hotel you go towards the water to Christopher Columbus Statue, go right and you will find bus stop for cruise port shuttle. Perfect location, will gladly stay again!

Great hotel, accessible to the metro or ride share. A big plus is La Rambla is front of you. Consider this when staying, the big plus is the great staff!

We could not check in before 2pm like some other properties even for a fee. The balcony door to the room does not lock. I have never stayed in a hotel where the balcony door did not lock. The luggage can be dropped off to be held prior to check in but in a storage room that other people have access to. There was no one to safe guard the luggage. Other hotels have a concierge or someone to accept the luggage to hold and issue luggage receipts for pick up. We were leery about sleeping in a room with an unlocked balcony door which I did not book a room with a balcony, only with a window view. Because we did not want to leave our luggage in the unattended storage room, we waited until 2pm to check in. It was a dreadful experience. The public men’s bathroom by the lobby was filthy according to my husband. As New Yorkers, we are more careful about things. We were not expecting this experience.

Great location — less than 10 mins to the metro and La Boqueria Market, 20 mins to the port, and about 30 mins to the beach. Staff were friendly and the hotel was clean. Breakfast was included, simple but decent — just go before 10 a.m. for the best selection. We had an issue with the room safe, but maintenance arrived within 5 mins and resolved it quickly. One downside: there was no shower curtain, so water splashed out of the bathtub, leaving the floor quite wet after showers. The lifts are also a problem — only two small ones, each holding 3 people max, so waits can be long. I mostly used the stairs. Not ideal if you have lots of luggage or mobility issues. There’s a luggage room for before check-in and after check-out, but it’s not monitored and guests often don’t close it properly. Overall, a good stay for the location and service — just a few things to be aware of.
