This place could be so amazing. It’s hidden away with great Mountain View’s. But it’s in dire need of a refurbishment. It could be so grand and stunning. But the sewerage smell as you walk through the door is vile, the corridors are musty. The deluxe room was large with good views but the windows were rotten and we couldn’t see anything for hours on a morning due to heavy condensation. They were so mouldy. The bathroom was modern and clean. Better value places in Keswick that include breakfast and parking too.

Had the same room as last time and as usual it was imacculate. The food again was excellent, but what makes it for us is most definatly the staff, from the hotel manager to the waiting staff from the bar staff to the housekeeping team, the front of house, the chefs every single one of the staff is friendly, polite and just make the place feel so homely another excellent stay.

The staff were the best we've had at any hotel, anywhere, without exception. They were attentive, friendly, extremely efficient and the team work was noticeable for everyone to see. Every area was spotless, including our very lovely room.

The room was spotless but shabby. The hotel are clearly refurbishing the rooms as our friends had a refurbished one. The windows were too fragile to open so the room smelt a bit musty. Food was amazing, staff were really friendly and helpful. Lovely atmosphere.

We have visited this hotel many times and it is always excellent. The staff, from checking in, to bar staff, restaurant staff and housekeeping staff, are always friendly, helpful and professional. The food is excellent and the evening meal is an experience to savour.

Lovely location in Keswick, lovely food at breakfast and evening meals. Our only disappointment is that the bedrooms have become rather dated. In need of refurbishment and modernising. Bathrooms too need some attention ie updating as they're really old fashioned. Walk in showers are really the norm nowadays. The Staff are really fantastic and i suppose they are doing the best they can under the surcumstanses..
