A very pleasant experience.

I was very satisfied, I had booked a single room but was upgraded to a family room with a double and two single beds with a sea view, tea making facilities and TV. A very nice clean bathroom. The only thing missing was a fridge. But for £34 per night, it was brilliant. The gym and swimming pool was very good for just £2 per session. I did not have breakfast in the hotel so cannot say if it was good but I thought £12.50 might be a bit overpriced, however I did think that the £15.50 3 course evening dinner was very well priced and of decent quality. Different people made negative comments to me about the hotel before my stay so I was very nervous, but I am happy to say they were very wrong. I will never hesitate to return there. It might become a regular place. The only thing that might cause concerns is the long walks to get to some rooms, if you have limited ability you might need to mention it when booking. The staff I met were all very friendly and efficient. I'll be back. Thanks.

Nice hotel other guests ruined the experience

The hotel is great for a cheap getaway however I feel like the other guests don’t respect the hotel. Night 1 we were kept up by people arguing until 5 in the morning in the room next door and night 2 the fire alarm went off constantly up until 6am due to guests smoking in their rooms.

Norbreck hotel 1 night stay

Fir the amount of time we were there, the hotel lived up to expectations. It's nothing more than ok. Need more people on reception as it was like grand central station. The bed was like sleeping on a plank of wood. The hotel is ideally located for the trams so access to the golden mile was very easy. Overall the hotel is just dated like many hotels in Blackpool. But for 1 night it was just ok.

Will stay again.

You get what you pay for. Room was clean. There was a problem with my first room but I was moved with no arguments. The biggest issue I always have is inconsiderate guests who think its ok let their doors slam at 1am and let children run up and down the corridors at 7am.

Very reasonable in price, however there was someone's toe nail on the floor and a pubic hair on the bathroom sink when we arrived and the shower over bath was okay but needs a hand rail for older people.

*The property is extremely dated* Besides this, that is not why I had such a terrible stay. As soon as I arrived, only 1 member of staff were at the front desk, despite many other staff members coming to bother that one member making them do multiple seperate tasks on top of having to check in around 20 different groups that were patiently waiting. The staff and management is extremely poor, there is no coordination and a lack of communication is clear as soon as I stepped through the doors. We did not get a warm welcome or shown where everything is, or even where our room was or what floor etc it was on. When we finally found our room, we was greeted with a broken mirror that had a very clear crack right down the middle of it which seemed really unsafe. There was also dust everywhere, even on the lampshade next to the bed which you would have thought should get cleaned each time someone stays as that is just good hygiene and cleanliness. The bed was as hard as a rock to sleep on that’s if you can say I got any sleep at all it was really uncomfortable, with only 1 pillow each and they were not the fluffiest of pillows. The window in the room also didn’t work very well it was extremely stiff to open. I overheard other guests complaining also but to complain you cannot call the front desk, instead, you would have to go all the way down to the front desk yourself to tell them the issue as they do not have a phone in each room. Would not stay again!

The lift was broken, we were on 4th floor. Staff not very helpful, they told us they were too busy booking in guests to book evening meal for us. Evening meal was 3 course, asked if we could just pay for starters and dessert as have throat cancer and unable to eat main meal, flatly told no, no adaptability. Room was clean but very small. Will not be returning.

Had better stays

We like the Norbreck usually but this time we were in a different wing. The walls were paper thin, we could hear neighbours conversations. The room was generally clean except the radiator which was disgusting. The lifts were also out of order.

No food provision when restaurant closed, toilets we were directed to from the bar were extremely smelly. Basically, you get what you pay for and it serves it's purpose for the price. Breakfast, not worth the money unless you can down £12 of heart attack material. Not bad though, warm and cozy enough.

Fuming, check in online, you would think you would be able to check in quickly!! False advertisement and I wasn't queuing for what looked like could be an hour due to the volume of people and 1 member of staff at reception!

We left one night into our two night stay. We got to the first room after check in and it was tiny. Went to the bathroom and the toilet seat was covered in wet, yellow marks. Disgusting. All rooms also have adjoining doors, which meant we could hear every word of next door’s conversations. Reception moved us to a room where no one was in the next room. This was slightly larger and of better cleanliness but still, the windows were tiny, the bed was very hard and uncomfortable, and the room was very very dated. We went down to get some food and were told that they stopped serving food at 7:30!!!! The communal areas were full to the brim, with children running around wild. The public tvs were also showing “50 Shades of Grey” in a family hotel!!! The cabaret for the evening had been cancelled too so a last minute quiz was put on at a scramble. We booked an alternative hotel and checked out the next morning. I would never stay here again.
