Perfect place to stay before an early flight. Super convenient to the South Terminal - only a 10-15 min walk all through covered areas (basically through the garage, past the station and into the terminal). We had a twin room and the beds were very comfortable and definitely bigger than classic twins. Check in was very quick and easy. They have multiple bars/restaurants in the lobby - nothing special but enough to make for a stress free first night of a holiday. Can't hear any planes at all.

Repeat customer. Good hotel, but does get busy.

I have stayed at the Gatwick Hilton a few times over the past few years. Overall it is good, being hugely convenient for the South Terminal (a short walk away). The rooms are modern and comfortable and there are plenty of choices of places to eat (bars, restaurants etc.) Also I used the gym this time, which was also good. My only issue is that it is a busy hotel. If you happen to be checking in at the same time as the Qatar crew arrive (for example), then it can take quite some time. Also the sports bar can become full. There can be quite a bit of corridor noise due to the number of rooms and nature of the hotel. That said, for the typical price and convenience it ticks all the boxes. I prefer the Sofitel at the North Terminal, but that is priced accordingly (with less eating options). The Premier Inn is slightly cheaper, but is far busier and often there is a huge wait to get food.

Comfortable but the pillows were not for me. Visited the restaurant (Amys Bar) which looks nice but service was very slow and they forgot about part of our order (chicken caeser which was breaded chicken, but it was cold. Took a long time to drive. Just go to the terminal to eat)

Expensive hotel only worth the location

The main thing the hotel has going for it is convenience to the terminal. This Hilton lacked some of the basics you would expect from a Hilton - like a working kettle in the room and premium TV channels like Prime, Netflix etc. The cleaning staff woke me up at 7:30 am despite the fact that checkout is at noon and came back at 8:15 to ask me when I was leaving. The front desk staff was efficient.
