Some hotels that are near the city center of Shimizu are the Numazu Riverside Hotel and Hotel Massimo Mishima.
14 miles (22 kilometers) outside of the heart of Shimizu, you will come across the Gora Tensui. Alternatively, the Furuya Ryokan is located about 10 miles (16 kilometers) away. Another possibility is to book a room at the Mikawaya Ryokan or the Arai Ryokan.
After spending some time in Shimizu, set out to visit the greater region of the Chubu area. Chubu is marked by beaches, and interesting visitor sights are ruins, castles and traditional villages. Common things to do in this region of Japan include snowboarding and skiing.
Numazu is 5 miles (8 kilometers) to the southwest of Shimizu and is where you'll find Senbonhama Park and Awashima Marine Park. If you stay in Numazu, be sure to check out the Hotel Miwa and Daiwa Roynet Hotel Numazu. 8 miles (14 kilometers) south of Shimizu, you'll reach Shuzenji, which features the Katsuragawa and AMMS Hotels Shuzanji Onsen Hotel TAKITEI. The Shuzenji Nature Park and Hie Shrine are more popular sites to explore should you visit Shuzenji.
Just because you and your traveling partners are visiting somewhere new, does not mean you can't indulge in your obsession for a day of sports. Discover Yokohama Stadium 50 miles (77 kilometers) to the northeast of Shimizu. If you like the convenience of finding a hotel close to the game, book a room in the Hotel New Grand or InterContinental Yokohama Grand.
