Nice hotel, walking distance to everything

Pros: Rooms were well decorated, supplied, and clean.
If you are willing to put in several miles a day, you can do pretty much hike to everything. Walk to the Space Needle in one direction, Pikes Market and the Harbor in the other. We arrived early (11:15) and expected to have to leave our bags and start exploring, but they met us at the curb, walked us inside and checked us in immediately. The room was quite nice. View of adjacent buildings which were unfortunately under major renovations. They accommodated a late check out (1:00) at no charge so we could sneak in a few more activities in the morning before heading to the airport.

Beautiful, modern hotel in the heart of downtown

Pros: The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. The bathroom was large and the towels soft, thick, and fresh.
Cons: There is no full length mirror in the room. Explain the need to KEEP the room key in the light slot in order for lights to work. We finally got it..
Location: The monorail to the Space Needle is 5 blocks away, Pike's Place Market just 8 blocks, and Westlake Station for the light rail to the airport just 3.
Our stay at the Hyatt Olive 8 was top notch. We flew in on a red-eye from Anchorage so arrived at the hotel around 7:30 am. We asked the front desk if they could store our luggage until check-in at 4:00, but as a room was available we were invited to check in right away. So unexpected and appreciated!! We stayed in a business room, and one of the extras is a credit toward breakfast every morning. With the high WA tax and gratuity already added, we easily used the breakfast credit each day. Our king sized bed was quite comfortable, and though all the pillows were feather there were various levels of firmness to suit us. The only downside is that the hotel is adjacent to another high-rise that must be 30-40 feet away, and our room faced this building. Fortunately we could still see the beautiful city off to the right while standing at the window. The location was perfect. We were in Seattle for shopping and tourist outings, and as the hotel is located on 8th between Olive and Pine (one block from Pike) there were many stores and restaurants within several blocks. We ate at the Cheesecake Factory twice and loved the Wild Ginger (Thai) and the Dragonfish (sushi). And coffee shops everywhere! If you are from out of state, be sure to tell this to cashiers when checking out at retail stores. Most will not charge you their state tax if you ask about it and present your driver's license. It saved us quite a bit on the clothes our daughter purchased.

Nice location, close to eveything

Awesome stay. Price for hotel and flight was a great deal. Will definitely stay here again when I come back to Seattle. Close to Pike Market Place and public transportation. Staff very accomodating. Modern hotel.

We wanted to treat our kids with an overnight stay in a hotel that had a swimming pool. What a great deal we got at this great hotel. Staff was very accommodating. Swimming pool and jacuzzi were large and not crowded. Great spa services. The valet staff let us park on the driveway for a while while we unloaded and explored our room and the facilities. Then We parked our car across the street at Pacific Place overnight for $26.

Within walking distance to Pikes Market. Close to other points of interest. Great amenities. Even gave me a bottle of hairspray.

Great hotel in the heart of Downtown Seattle!

This hotel was awesome. It was very modern, clean, and is LEED certified which is really great. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel's restaurant Urbane is great and there are plenty of other restaurants in walking distance. This hotel is just a few blocks away from the monorail and just a couple more blocks from that is the Pike Place Market. There are also lots of other shops all around the hotel. We bought a movie and they covered it since we paid for our room in advance (which was also great!). I would definitely recommend this hotel. The only con is that there are no vending machines (which may be common for the area?) but there is a drug store and a target just a block or two away. Get out in downtown and enjoy the city! Also, I did not utilize the spa, meeting rooms, or gym but they look wonderful.

Nice hotel with excellent location

Pros: Nice hotel staff. Good view of room.
Cons: Bed is soft. Prefer a firmer bed but they do not offer. No breakfast offered to us.
Location: Downtown, Pike's Market, a Chewing Gum Alley, Chinatown, Space Needle, Arts Museum. We then left Seattle to Bellington and Vancouver, British Columbia
This hotel has the best gym. They also provide cool towels after exercise. Special classes also available. Location is the plus for this hotel. We took the light rail to get to the hotel from the airport. The hotel is very close to the light rail, bus and monorail stations. It is close to a drug store, shopping, and restaurants. We mostly took the light rail to the Pike Market, Chinatown, belt area, and downtown area. The distance in downtown area is not that far anyway. One can walk or get on the light rail be back to the hotel. It is a good few days getaway in Seattle. Only thing that is not pleasant is that there are lots of homeless on panhandling. I would say Seattle downtown area has the most homeless in the limited cities I traveled.

Wonderful downtown location

Pros: The beds were very comfortable and soft. It was nice to be able to take the elevators to the pool without having to traipse through the lobby.
Cons: Nothing
Location: It is near shopping, and within walking distance to the monorail, and the market and pier. Great little deli/market just across the street too!
My daughter and I stayed at the Hyatt Olive 8 the beginning of March and loved it. Very clean, super comfortable and a great downtown location. The hotel restaurant was fabulous and the pool was nice and warm. The sauna and steam room were an unexpected bonus!
