Visiting St. Joseph Hospital

When I booked I asked if any discounts were available. The booking agent said none were. When my husband checked in he asked again, specifically if a military discount applied. They said yes, but you have to ask when booking. They refused to adjust the bill. Also, the Web site said parking was available. It did not state it was $20.00 everytime you reparked. The location is NOT walking distance to the hospital , so that was an expensive mistake that was misleading on the website. We would not have booked knowing this because of the additional fees for parking. I felt we were mislead. Also, the initial Web site pulled up a $99.00 fee, but when investigating furture, it was much more. Hook and bait?

Decent, but not 4 star

We stayed a night here at the Murano after visiting friends in Seattle and Tacoma. We wanted to go to the Glass Museum and this hotel was close. The hotel was very comfortable and lots of modern art with the themes of the various artists that has shown at the glass museum, so that was nice. It was however getting a little "worn" in the furniture and the room was a little less than sparkling, but I am picky. The beds were awesome! We had standard full size beds and they were very comfortable. The bar was lively and breakfast was decent. Everyone was very friendly and efficient. So only big drawback is the need for updating, and until that happens, the price should reflect 3 star hotel not 4.

Beautiful, modern, clean hotel

Pros: Close to downtown, excellent dining.
Cons: Elevators are slow and crowded.
Location: It is Tacoma, so there's not much nightlife for a middle aged couple. We did manage to find a quiet lounge nearby.
I would recommend this hotel to anyone. We had to wait for the very crowded elevators a few times, but probably because there was a beauty pageant held there over the weekend.

A Unique Museum Ambience with Hotel Hosptality!

Pros: Close restaurants, Free Internet, Quiet, views!!!!
Cons: nothing negative!
A nice change from the usual Hyatt/Marriott routine. Cassie and her boss at the front desk helped with a room change and the entire property was a refreshing change for me. The Seafood Chowder in the Art Deco lounge was a nice way to wrap up the day! Will come here again!

Great Experience!

Pros: Quiet, great restaurant
This is the second time I have stayed at the Murano and I will stay again. I had an excellent experience. I love the modern fun feel of the rooms. I was not feeling well when arriving at the hotel so it was inviting to have a relaxing environment to enter into. I ordered room service and it was great. The staff was friendly. Breakfast the next morning was great. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

Beautiful scenery

Pros: Quiet
The staff of the hotel are exceptional. A little more work on parking availability will go a long way to help.

Very good hotel in downtown Tacoma

The building itself is old and a bit worn (I stayed there when it was a Sheraton in 1996 and 2005), but the updates by the Murano are very nice. The room was cozy, clean, and very nicely furnished. Room amenities were nice quality. Lounge area looked fun, but I didn't get a chance to visit. Glass artwork is beautiful.
