This hotel is very nice. The casino was ok. Too many slots, not enough regular poker options and way too Smokey. The coffee bar close to the check in area had 3 people behind the counter and we waited 5 minutes for service and not once were we even acknowledged. So we took our business elsewhere. Although the hotel was super nice, we won’t be back.

The area around the property felt unsafe to be in. We stopped at a nearby Walgreens for some things and were shocked that they had security.

The room was nice and fairly clean, but the facilities were terrible. The pool is tiny and freezing cold. The hot tub was discolored and had a horrible smell. We stayed (unknowingly) on a fight night, it took 45 stressful minutes to find parking. They have a separate parking garage for hotel guests, but it is not enforced. The area did not feel safe, therefore street parking was not an option. When we called the hotel for assistance, they offered to cancel our room. After driving for 5 hours to get there, this was not something we wanted to do. Overall, we would not choose to stay here again.

We have nothing but great things to say, we were coming in for a wedding and narrowed our hotel choices to 3 options and pick EQC because they did not charge daily parking frees. We were a little concerned due to the casino, possible noise, smoke, lots of people. We were pleasantly surprised, from the moment Jazmin checked us in her great friendly personality made us feel welcomed from the moment we walked up to counter. Our room was comfortable, clean, the hotel is smoke free, nice gym with indoor pool. We enjoyed the top floor bar. Hotel easy assessable to freeway's. Next time we are visiting Tacoma we will definitely return to EQC.
