Great hotel and location

Pros: Cleanliness and close to many things in downtown Seattle. I stayed here for business and it was close to everything, easy to find.
Location: Pikes Market is right down the road, a small mall is nearby with a few shops and some places to eat.
This was a nice hotel in a great location. Only about a 10min walk to Pikes Market. Lot's a good food close by. The hotel was nice (the lobby was under construction so I can't wait to see what it is going to look like). The offer a 'green credit'. If you don't have housekeeping come and clean your room you get a $5 minibar credit. That was a nice perk. The bed was really soft and comfy. The shower in my room was a little odd, that the handle to turn the water on was on the opposite side of the shower door, so you had to turn it on quick and jump out so not to get blasted with cold water. the staff was very friendly and helpful. the parking attached to the hotel is about $30 a day, I heard there was a parking garage that might be cheaper that was around the corner but I am not sure if they were for overnight parking or not. Overall great hotel, I would stay here again.

Not worth the money

Pros: The hotel staff was very attentive.
The hotel was under construction. Only one elevator was working, causing many to haul luggage up and down the stairs. The furnishings consisted of a bed, 2 small nightstands, an armoire and a folding luggage rack. The king bed was comfortable. The room was clean. There was a coffee maker with glass cups and 3 pods of coffee. The bathroom had a nice sized shower with double shower head and a pedestal sink. The armoire had an ironing board and iron in it. With no counter area in the bathroom and no chairs or tables in the room, getting ready for the day was a hassle.

Hotel location was convenient to every thing we could possible want to do in Seattle. We were less than a mile to Pike Place Market, the Needle, Seattle Center, and the Waterfront. Staff was super friendly and knowledgeable.

Not What It Used To Be?

I chose this hotel because i like older hotels that are located downtown in larger cities. Our room at the Roosevelt felt like it was half of what would have been an original room before they renovated the place -- It was quite small, with a full sized (not even queen!) bed, a tiny bathroom (about 20 sq ft , no tub, door practically hits toilet)...

Not worth the money

The room had a very strong smell of mold and/or mildew. Bed was lumpy as if a mattress topper was applied to a bad mattress. View (I was in rm 810) was of a blank wall of another part of the hotel building. Windows opened (to air out the smell) but had to be propped with rolled up towels. Tiny shower. Cheap shampoo and conditioner. No refrigerator. Great location, staff were friendly. At over $200/night for a non-peak travel time in Seattle, this was not a good deal at all. I did not take the time to complain at the hotel because there were so many issues-- it just was not worth the trouble to do so.

Good location downtown......but very disappointing

Pros: The location & staff
This hotel is centrally located downtown. The staff were wonderful. Those are the positives. The negatives.......very bare bones, room was smaller than a cruise ship stateroom,ie no room to put luggage to work out of, the bed was suppose to be a queen but was lumpy & more like a double, black mold in the grout of the tiny shower floor, no in room safe, when the window was open for fresh air the noise from the hotel generators, etc. was so deafening that the window had to be shut. I would not recommend staying in this hotel.

Nice hotel, good location.

Staff was helpful, courteous and professional. Location was great and room clean and comfortable. Overall felt like it was a bit overpriced for what it is. I think you are reallt paying for yhe location and there are ither good options there. 45 dollars for one day valet parking. This really should have been part of the room rate. We enjoyed our stay but will probably choose another hotel next trip.

We enjoy renovated older hotels, and this was no exception.

Pros: Free breakfast, Close restaurants, Free Internet, Quiet, friendly helpful staff, great location
This hotel has a great location, a fine staff, welcoming lobby, nice rooms and facilities - at a good price. OUr first time here, we were greeted warmly and efficiently by the front desk staff, which was helpful throughout our stay. An attractive lobby which in the morning was transformed into a Continental breakfast area. Our room was large, probably two small older rooms combined as there were two thermostats, a very comfortable queen be and L shaped couch, chair and desk and chair. The only glitch was the nice, but small bathroom which had hardly any space for our personal items and I ended up opening up my dopp kit on my lap sitting on the toilet. There was a wet bar in the entrance way with cold water and adequate counter space. The hotel was quiet and we got a great night sleep. We were within walking distance of most major attractions in downtown Seattle which made walking around a joy. We would stay again and recommend to our friends.

Great place to stay.

Pros: Close restaurants, Free Internet, Quiet
We had a great time and the hotel staff are excellent. Of course the Martini Bar might be a little too handy. But that's okay by us.
