The hotel is located close to the Link light rain station which made getting here from the airport very easy. Pike Place is a 12 minute walk. Lots of dining options and great spots around. The hotel itself is clean. One of the elevators was down when we were there but it didn’t case us too much delay. The elevators are small, so be prepared if you’re traveling with a big group. The staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel even has a gum ball dispenser to add your personal touch to the Seattle Gum Wall. Our only issue was upon check in. The issue was not with the hotel, but with Expedia. Expedia never updated the dates of our stay, so hotel thought we showed up a day early. Thankfully the concierge was able to get us into a room quickly. Overall, would definitely stay again!

Cool concept hotel but has a couple flaws

Super cool concept - and ode to the Seattle music scene and Sub Pop Records specifically. Good design. Smallish lobby but cozy. 5p free beer happy hour is great, as is the coffee bar in the mornings. Loved the turntable in my room and the vinyl that was there for me to play. Staff were great. Helpful responsive intelligent and interesting. But… rooms are noisy. Wifi is weak. Worst is the fact that they have only one tiny elevator for all ten floors, big enough for no more than four people - less if you have luggage. The second elevator is out of order with no hint that it’s actually being repaired. And there’s no service elevator either, meaning that the staff and their giant cleaning carts and laundry carts are as often as not clogging up the one tiny elevator. Ridiculous. More than three or four times we had to wait two or three times because the elevator arrived and it was too crowded to get on. I’d stay here again because it’s in a great location and a cool concept but only if I was certain ahead of time that the elevators were working. Oh and I asked for different vinyl (I mean the Sub Pop catalogue is what, 10,000 albums?) and they said no!

Small showers, if your a large adult its difficult to shower. Great area for walking distance to where we needed to go as it was close to the monorail and light rail. A few transient people around the area, not too bad though.

Weirdest room we've ever been in. Toilet on 1 side of the room, and the bathtub/shower on the other side? Ac-heating unit is 4 ft from the bed? That's not inconvenient or loud? 10 floors and 1 elevator? And it's only big enough for 4 people.(not an exaggeration.) Ice machines not on every floor. Were told that they were on odd number floors. The 1st floor we get to, the ice machine is broken. Not a chance we'll be back.

The Hotel and room was veru good One big drawback was that both elevators are very small - 4 people max capacity and then with loggage it gets extra tight. However during our 3-night stay one of the elevators was out of order the entire duration.

Super cool, grungy chic decor throughout the whole hotel. Comfy bed, really clean space, and great bathroom products. Amazing location downtown Seattle for what I needed - Shopping at Nordstrom and dinner at Din Thai Fung were top of list :) bonus “beer hour” between 5-6p they serve complementary local beer in the super comfy, cabin chic lobby. Only complaints were: walls were really thin (but they have earplugs on the nightstand ready for use- which I did), hairdryer needs an upgrade (the one in my room barely worked and looked like it was from the 90’s), and the morning coffee in the lobby could stand to be a lot stronger (we are in Seattle after all!). All that to say, I really enjoyed my one night stay. I will be back next time I need a great stop to stay in downtown Seattle!
