"Charm of Yesteryear"
This vintage hotel features high ceilings, lovely woodwork and old-fashioned charm but with comfort, too. Without our asking, we were offered an upgrade at no charge. A full breakfast is included, even though they call it "continental breakfast," and it is excellent. Two attendants made sure items were replenished continually. We were warned not to venture out after dark, however, as the Pioneer Square area has become a haven for panhandlers and others from the underbelly of society; but with that one caveat, the hotel is well-located less than two blocks from the lite-rail (easy access to the airport for $3) and a $7 cab ride away from the Space Needle. We would stay here again.

"Well located in downtown Seattle"
Very nice hotel and situated in a great spot in the downtown area. Within walking distance of most places you'd want to visit (you're only 2 blocks from the Monorail that takes you to Seattle Center...Space Needle). Plenty of restaurants and shopping all around. A 10-minute downhill walk to Pike's Place but you may want to take a circuitous route back otherwise you have to endure a 3-block walk up a steep hill. Great staff at the hotel, great bar downstairs (Shuckers). We would definitely stay there again!

"Nice downtown hotel close to Pike Market"
Hotel staff was fantastic. Valet drivers were always smiling and there to open the hotel front door. Sir Toby helped check us in and recommended some things to do and ways to travel the downtown area to avoid the hills. This hotel is walking distance to the Pike Market, the underground tour, the flagship Nordstrom, and the Seattle Art Museum. There is a company that offers a shuttle service (for a fee) that will pick you up and take you to the Boeing factory tour (recommended). Several newspapers are available in the lobby as well as a coffee/tea bar in the morning. A wine reception with snacks occurs every evening in the lobby. There is a restaurant on site, but with all the yummy eats available in the area it doesn't really make sense to eat at the hotel. The rooms are small, but clean. The toiletries left something to be desired, but I loved the hair dryer. I paid extra for the view, but it wasn't really worth the extra cost. One final note, if you are going to stay in the downtown area and do not plan on driving other than to your hotel, I would recommend taking the monorail from SEA-TAC and then walking a short distance to the hotel. Save on the car and parking. There is really no need for a rental car.
