Room downgraded, felt cheated for what we paid for

Pros: Hot tub, steam room, sauna and cool towels from a mini freig. Very quiet guest rooms
Cons: It would have been nice to have the room type we paid for. If one wasn't available with a tub, we should have been told and given the option to wait.
Location: Great location, shopping and food close by and only 10-15 minutes walk to Pike Place Market.
We asked for an early check in, as our flight arrived early. We were told they would call us when it was ready, but they would hold our bags so we could explore the city. The first room we were given had the great city view I payed for, but not the large soaking tub. I called the front desk about it and was told we could have a room 4 floors down with a tub and it was allergy friendly; "an upgrade". (I have an allergy to down/feathers only, I wasnt worried about the air purifier or the fragrance free products,) What a disappointment walking into the room. It wasnt because it was 4 floors down, it was because it was on the other side of the hotel and the city view was looking at rooftops. Upon looking at the online booking, the "pure rooms" are $10-$15/nights less than the room I paid for. And we stayed 2 nights. The hotel was very quiet, we could t hear any sound from the elevator we were next to, our neighbors or the street. And the soaking tub was much needed after all the walking while waiting for the room. The hotel has a sauna, hot tub and steam room. Just felt cheated out of what we paid for; the view and cost of the room swap. It would have been nice to be given the option to wait for another city view room, not just given a different one that happened to be ready.

Conveniently located to Pike and monorail access.

Luxury hotel. Shower big enough for two and a roomy soaking tub. Room had a view of the city. The minus was the room service for breakfast. The breakfast was delivered later than scheduled, which we had to inquire about. They did not reach out to us. Also, we felt breakfast was overpriced and they messed up my husband's order. They forgot his toast. It took them about 20 minutes to correct this. He was pretty much done eating by that time.

Pros: Very attentive bellman - described all of the room's amenities Good dining options Massive bathroom area Refrigerator Great TV
Cons: Starbucks coffee available to make in room - would have appreciated a variety of blends Whirlpool jets would be great in the tub
Location: In the heart of downtown Seattle - within walking distance of Pike Place Market
We selected this hotel on a recent visit to Seattle because our son and his wife had booked there. It is a lovely hotel, although above our usual price range. Our room was available for an early check-in - which was much appreciated.

Awesome Honeymoon!

The Grand Hyatt is the place to stay in Seattle. It is located in the heart of downtown and is close to most of the major attractions. (walking distance) I would also recommend getting the Grand Club package as their breakfast was awesome.

room smelled like old cigarettes.

Beautiful hotel. The room smelled like a tavern. The hotel staff had a portable electronic air filter running in the room to clear the air, but it did not help. Very tacky on their part.

Wonderful Place to Stay

Probably the BEST Day of our vacation.  These people are wonderful.  Service was great.  Restaurant food was very good.  I will not stay anywhere else next time I'm in Seattle.  IF you miss this, you've really missed something!

Eleganct, comfortable and a helpful staff

Pros: Close restaurants, Quiet
Cons: expensive mini-bar items in room
My son and his bride were married in one of the hotel's conference rooms and we stayed through to the following day. The staff was excellent and amenable to the needs of the wedding party and our rooms were lovely and comfortable. The theatre district and restaurants in the area will bring us back to this hotel if we want to have a luxurious stay in downtown Seattle.
