"The location and layout are great - right on the water, with a walking path along it and lots of outdoor seating. The pool is also great - bigger than many hotel pools, and with lots of chaise lounges.
Our room, however, was very rundown and dirty. The floorboards were warped, there were spider webs on the bathroom ceiling, and the plug-in for the coffee maker had a web of dust all over it. The bathroom generally was old and rundown. By the time I realized all of this, we had already unpacked, so I didn't want to ask to move.
In addition, they informed me when we checked in that the restaurant was being remodeled, so they had limited service and only outdoor seating. We were counting of the restaurant because we didn't want to go out to find meals elsewhere, but it was too cold to sit outside. So that was a disappointment.
The fire pits that they touted were always occupied by other guests while we were there, but they looked cozy. They need to get more of them so that all guests have the opportunity to use them.
One of the buildings is under renovation, so I hope the building we stayed in will get renovated soon too. If so, and if the restaurants are open, this would be a great place to stay."
