"Pros: * Location, you're half a block from a street full of restaurants, parks, and pubs. We walked the 2km to the War Museum, and you can also easily get around. * Sam at the front desk was great. She basically saved the review of this hotel. And the servers at Coopers (breakfast) were also very lovely Cons: * The whole vibe is that the landlord needed to slap paint on the space before the new renter comes in. Everything is just that little bit grubby (and literally they painted over dust). * The room was big, but the bathroom (which should accommodate 4 people) is basically a powder room with a plastic shower attached. There weren't enough towels (presumably b/c there weren't enough spaces to put your towel) and the door didn't fully close or lock. * There was construction on the floor above us, the price was not reflected in having to hear banging before 8am on the Saturday of a long weekend (nor were we warned). Neutral: * They ran out of onsite parking (were not the least bit sorry) but silver lining, if you are there on a weekend, park at the nearby city hall, cost was $12 for two days I wouldn't stay there again, but if you can get a deal it's not terrible - or certainly ask for a room on floor 8+ as that is where the renovations are happening (May 2026)"

"This hotel was beautiful. Modern clean rooms. Great rooftop patio overlooking the city. Very good lobby restaurant, smaller menu but good. The only issue we had was with our valet. We called it up for a certain time and it was 30 min behind. They did credit us that day of valet so it was appreciated. If it had a hot tub or sauna I would have rated it 5 stars. That was the only thing missing."
