The first room we went into smelled I extremely foul. It smelled like urine - VERY strong. The gentleman at the front gladly moved us to a different room but the neighbors were so noisy it was as if they were in the same room with us. Because we had booked through Travelocity and not the hotel itself he was unable to give us a refund. He moved us to a larger suite and it was sufficient but the overall aesthetics of the room seemed out dated and not up to the standards that I’m used to seeing at a Staybridge.

Easy and convenient

Pros: Free Breakfast- movie rental program- DVD player in room
Cons: Noisy rooms where you can hear residents upstairs moving.
Location: Sea World
Booked this hotel in a jam because the one we got on hotwire was terrible. This hotel is right across the highway from Sea World wand down the road from a McDonalds and subway. The room was a bit noisy due to many families. Enjoyed the fridge, vanity, plates/cutlery/ and bed.

Highly recommend Staybridge Suites SeaWolrd

Highly impressed with Staybridge Suites SeaWorld San Antonio, Texas. Room was very clean and comfortable, hotel was very quiet, loved the wide variety and quality of the complementary breakfast. All staff was very friendly, Gaby at the front desk was always a ray of sunshine! I would definitely stay here again and other Staybridge Suites in future travels.

Not bad, but cheapness shows through

Stayed one night in a suite with my family on our visit to Sea World.  The room was nice and large, and it was nice to see that even if you came unprepared for a suite visit, they had some basics that would come in handy (like pots & pans).  The bed was also quite comfortable. When we got there, there was a car parked in the fire lane right in front of the hotel.  We parked and went in, and no one was at the desk.  There was a sign directing us to use the phone to call the operator.  After calling and listening to a pre-recorded message several times (at which point I was about to hang up, as it seemed to be on an endless loop), someone answered and came right over.  She was friendly but it came across as disingenuous.  There was also a line item on the bill for USA today, saying it would be delivered. If we refused it, we would get a $0.75 credit.  I mentioned we didn't need the paper and were told it doesn't get delivered to our door anyways.   In and of itself, not a big deal, but why have it on the paper?  When my daughter and I took a swim in the pool, there were no full-sized towels available.  The premium channels on the TV also had no video. As I mentioned above, the room was spacious and the beds were comfy.  The walls and ceiling, however, were paper-thin.  We could seemingly hear every footstep and conversation around us.  Luckily, after some time, the people around us went to sleep.  My wife then left for Wal-Mart and had a tough time parking due to the aforementioned car in the fire lane, which was now joined by another car and the shuttle parked directly in front of the entrance.  Breakfast the next morning consisted of fruits (including juicing oranges - not particularly good for eating), fake eggs, questionable sausage and oddly-tasting waffles. For the money, I've stayed in less expensive places that didn't feel as cheap.

Perfect family hotel!

We stayed for a week a Staybridge while our daughter attended a summer camp at SeaWorld. The rooms are so nice and accommodated us and our two dogs easily. The entire staff was genuinely friendly. Besides the great breakfast provided each morning, they also have dinner Tuesday through Thursday evenings. What a treat not to have to spend all our travel money on food!  For any future travels, I will most certainly look for a Staybridge first!

Wonderful experience

We stayed at Staybridge Suites West while attending our sons BMT graduation at Lackland AFB. Not only were the rooms #40we had a two bedroom suite and a studio suite#41 comfortable clean and fully equiped the hotel staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfast was exceptional and much more than we anticipated they had Texas shaped waffles!!! During the week they host a quothappy hourquot type get together which was enough to consider a lite dinner. Excellent accomodations. Will DEFINITELY consider Staybridge Suites whenever we find one.
