"OK- BUT bring your own internet!"
The hotel staff was very pleasant. The room wasn't that bad. It was supposed to be a queen size bed but it was a standard bed. The room was very small but comfortable. Overall the facilities weren't bad. There were no barbecue grills as advertised. There is also no complimentary breakfast and only coffee is offered (but they run out of the coffee in no time). BUT-this hotel had the absolute WORST internet i have ever used in all of my travels. I was trying to submit assignments for my graduate class, and I couldn't even log into my course. I couldn't even pull up google. I did a speed test on it and it came back download speed of .05 mb. That means it was dial-up speed! I ended up having to use my IPhone to submit my assignments (using my wireless data).

"Peak season"
We've stayed at this Microtel 3 different times and the rooms are usually very nice, but this time we were given a handicap room and the sink was loose and held up by dall rods. There was a dog in the next room over and it barked a lot. The room overall just in need of updating. We usually love staying there...

"Would stay again if no pets allowed"
Room was nice, location was good, our room was surrounded by occupants with dogs that barked continuously. Thank goodness we only had to stay one night. Breakfast buffet was very good. Some occupants had 3 plus dogs, should be limit.

"Very nice hotel"
Very nice hotel. We took our dog with us and our room was on the second floor. Very clean room. They have lots of grassy areas for your dog to walk in and use. Hotel is a little off the main road, so at night we didn't hear any traffic. Great views of the the Smokey Mountains. Very convenient to everything in Pigeon Forge. Across the street from a grocery store, lots of eating places in all price ranges, shopping and there's a trolley stop on the main road. "Free" breakfast wasn't worth us going to eat it. Overall if we travel with our dog again, we'd go back.

"Ok hotel"
The staff at the hotel was very friendly. The location is pretty good in between the main strip in Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg (lots of traffic though). The rooms were kind of disappointing. Seemed very outdated. The door was hard to open initially. Thought we had the wrong key at first. The carpet was ripped in the room. The room really did show it's age. The bed was very comfortable. The Jacuzzi was a nice addition. Would recommend only if you are on a tight budget.

Pigeon Forge Pet Friendly Hotel Guide

James Herriot once said, “Cats are connoisseurs of comfort.” You know it’s true. Who finds the coziest patch of sunshine streaming through the window and the warmest blanket in your home time and time again? Your feline friend. To be fair to all your furry, four-legged family members, Fido has a way of turning every couch cushion into a nap pad, too. So when it comes time to steal away to picturesque Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, take your whiskered companions with you…to suss out the amenities of course. While you peruse local museums, your little pals will hold down the fort in top pet-friendly hotels in Pigeon Forge, ready to explore the Great Smoky Mountains by your side. Before you check in, let us answer some of your travel queries:

What museums are in Pigeon Forge?

Pigeon Forge is home to several museums, including an Elvis Presley Museum, Titanic Museum, Smoky Mountain Car Museum, and the Hollywood Wax Museum—all located along the main thoroughfare, Parkway. Between hiking the whimsical wilds of Tennessee and cuddling up with your buddies in Pigeon Forge’s pet-friendly hotels, get to know the region one exhibition at a time. Supplement the natural wonders with Tennessee’s quintessential collection of history, music, and chrome.

If cultural carousing is a top priority, book your stay at Baymont Inn & Suites Pigeon Forge, located less than a mile to the Elvis Presley Museum, 2 miles to the Titanic Museum, and about 5 miles to Dollywood (which is a love letter to the Smoky Mountains in the form of an amusement park). Turn on the local folk station on your way to a scrumptious meal of biscuits and gravy and your Southern escape is complete.

Can you ski in Pigeon Forge?

Does a cat hop around on a hot tin roof? In Tennessee-talk, that’s a yes. Indeed, you can ski in Pigeon Forge—well, just outside the city. During the snowy season—January through February—the slopes of the Great Smoky Mountains have a thick layer of cold, glistening powder. Ride the gondolas up to the top at Ober Gatlinburg, one of the region’s most popular winter sport and outdoor activity parks. The view from the top is inspiring, and after you’ve schussed the slopes you’ll feel like the cat’s meow.

Leave your fur babies snuggled in one of our pet-friendly rentals in Pigeon Forge, TN or stay right in the foothills at Westgate Smoky Mountain Resort & Spa in Gatlinburg. After all, you’ll love being close to a massage table and your home away from home after a long day following cat tracks—the kind left by Snowcats, not your beloved Whiskers.

Whether you’re striking out on a grand getaway with your own adventure aficionados in tow or planning to live it up in luxury with the Great Smoky Mountains as a beautiful backdrop, Travelocity’s price-matching promise means you’ll save on top hotels while spoiling the true travel enthusiasts in your life.
