room wasnt very clean,no doors or curtains to shower so all the water all over the bathroom floor. Area around seems not secure. people at the hotel,not very friendly.I find that for what it is,the hotel its too expesive.

It’s very convenient for Gare du Nord - It has seen better days in terms of it’s condition but generally fine for me - a couple of issues… no plugs in bath/sink: curtains don’t pull without difficulty;WiFi is not brilliant - staff are very helpful

The hotel is quite outdated, with no power outlets near the bed or nightstand. When we asked, they handed us an extension cord—as if that were a normal solution. The biggest issue, however, is the bathroom: the shower has no curtain or partition, so water floods the entire floor, leaving it unusable for the next person. Despite these drawbacks, the staff was friendly and helpful, and they kindly stored our luggage after checkout. I wouldn’t stay here again if traveling as a pair. For solo travelers staying just one night, it may be a convenient option due to its proximity to Gare du Nord.

Had a very enjoyable stay at the Hotel Metropol, very conveniently located 5 minutes walk from the Gare du Nord station. Reception desk staff were very friendly and helpful and gave me a quiet room which I'd requested. Room and bed was very comfortable and bathroom had all of the facilities I needed. Will definitely stay there again when I'm next in Paris

After staying at this hotel for two nights, which we contemplated switching after arriving on the first day. I can say that I would not go back again. Not only was the hotel very run down the rooms were not clean and it lacked security. We had to leave our key at the front desk every time we left the hotel. Which left us feeling unsettled because they also did not ask any questions when going to retrieve the key, other than the room number. The only upside is that it is a five-minute walk to the station; however, stations are everywhere in Paris it does not make up for the hotel.

In need of a little TLC - when I returned to the room on Friday, housekeeping had left my door unlocked lukily I had my personal belongings with me and my room seemed untouched thankfully. Only one wal socket in the room high up on the wall next to the TV so not very safe having to plug an iron in that high up

Shuttle Scam!

Needed a return shuttle to the airport and saw the poster advertised at the front desk upon check in. Enquired about it and the front desk staff called to book our shuttle for 3 days later. On the morning of our departure, the shuttle arrived and advised us that only one bag per person was included in the price on the poster and demanded that we pay extra fees per bag or they would not take us to the airport. We did not have cash on us and the front desk refused to get involved in the situation with the driver despite them making the booking for us and being aware of how many bags we had as we made the booking upon check in and then the front desk staff helped us to our room with them. I had to quickly find a bank machine and pray that it would give me 50 Euros to pay the driver or else we would miss our flight. There was no time left to seek another mode of airport transport. Very disappointed in the lack of information on the poster and in the lack of information provided by the front desk and very disappointed that they did not assist us when we were being bullied for extra unannounced money at the last minute by the shuttle driver. It had been a nice stay until this point but felt betrayed and taken advantage of.
