Avoid

THis hotel is the WORST hotel I have ever stayed at. THe hotel is in a very seedy neighborhood that only gets seedier at night. The hotel is very dirty with dirty carpet and walls. Our room was tiny. The comforter had many stains. THe sheets also had stains and we even found a couple dead bugs. The worst part was how loud the hotel was. You could hear everything and the noise lasted all night. We were barely able to sleep.

three star or hostel?

stayed at hotel bellvue middle of June. NO AIR CONDITIONING!! We had one fan (which we had to bring to room ourselves). When we opened windows to get air flow we were greeted by the lovely sounds of motorcycles, honking vans and people partying on the street. ALL NIGHT LONG. Breakfast consisted of a small chocolate croissant (sold on the street 5/2 EUR) and a small yogart coffee and tea. This was served on folding chairs and card tables. Staff did the bare minuim. I have never stayed in a hostel but have a feeling this was pretty close. SKIP IT!!

The hotel and the room were very very small which wasn't a major problem since you don't go to Paris to stay in the room. The breakfast room is very small and the food provided was just adequate at best. if you don't go early to breakfast (the hotel recommends 7:30am), you most likely will have to wait. However, the staff is not prepared/ready to serve breakfast that early. The housekeeping services were spotty. On consecutive days the room wasn't supplied with toilet paper, soap/shampoo and towels (although the front desk did provide them on request. There is a computer with internet which is the only hotel ammenity offered. The hotel location is very good -- very near Sacre' Coeur which is an extremely busy area and only a minute or so walk to the Metro.
