We had a wonderful stay at the hotel. Extremely close to 911 memorial and the Brooklyn bridge which we were touring. Lovely rooms a little on the small side but very clean and comfortable. Staff was very accommodating.

Pros: Free WiFi; Clean Rooms; Keurigs in rooms;
Location: Bill's Bar serves great hamburgers - Bill's is located on the corner.
A smooth check-in set the tone for a wonderful stay in a clean hotel. With toiletries awaiting in the bathroom, an extra blanket in the clothing hutch should you need it, we drew back the curtains to expose a breathtaking view of the World Trade Center, Towers I and II, with Towers IV and III to the right with the South and North pools to the front. Though the room was rather sparse, it was certainly adequate and it was spotless. Dining can be done on the 20th floor with a fantastic view. We loved the concept of chilled water machines with bottles for your convenience. This hotel is in great proximity to shopping, entertainment and other restaurants.

Horrible service, poor response time,

We booked room with kitchenette. Were given a room with no kitchenette. After request were changed into another room on Day 2. Per staff they were fully booked. I understand that but how do you not give a customer room that they paid for. The roster was not working, informed the guest services. They came and picked up the toaster, no replacement was provided. We were told that we will be given one, if they can find one. ??? Utter nonsense, if I paid to stay in room with kitchenette, I planned on using the facility. On day 4 after much request received a toaster. Got locked out of my own room. Their lock was malfunctioning. Could not get back in the room and had to with my diabetes MED's for whole day. Informed them of malfunctioning lock at night time, no response till 10 am when we were locked out of our room. Towels: why would we get only two towels when room is reserved for 4. When requested house keeping were told that the hotel is overbooked and the house keeping is not provided enough towels. This is not what one expects from 4 star luxury hotel. Ruined our vacation.

911 Tribute

Pros: Everything!!
Cons: Nothing!
Location: Century 21 department store is right there. 911 Tribute and the Observatory Tower is right there! Everything is within walking distance.
OMG!! This is the hotel to stay in if you are visiting the Obersvatory Tower and the 911Tribute. It is pretty sad what happened to us on 911. This hotel sits amongst the memorial and everything is within walking distance. Want to go to Times Square? No problem walk 6 minutes to the Cortlandt Station and take the W train. I love this hotel and the employees and will be back!! We had a beautiful view and the room was gorgeous!! Thank you!!!

Good NY Hotel walking distance to 911 Memorial

Pros: The location, cleanliness, quietness and the restaurant on the 20th floor is great.
Cons: Not much really. No locking safe.
Location: The location is great if you're coming to NY for business or sightseeing. Walk to the 911 Memorial and also Battery Park. Subway stations are close.
My stay here recently was very acceptable. My "regular" room was small but adequate with a queen bed. I was traveling solo but for two people it would be fine really. The room was spotless, not super modern but for the price, again very acceptable. It was very quiet too, helpful staff as well. Excellent restaurant on the 20th floor with a great view of the new Tower. If you want to splurge on a meal there is also an excellent Morton's ($$$$) attached to the lobby.

Perfect location by "Ground Zero".

Pros: The restaurant, the location, the views of the water (including the Brooklyn Bridge), breakfast, and seriously the best "Manhattan" drink in New York.
Cons: The picture on-line isn't anything like the actual room, but the room was still OK.
Location: This hotel is in the financial district, across the street from all things "9/11", close to the subway, shopping, Battery Park.
The lobby staff is friendly and helpful. The restaurant on the 20th floor has excellent food, and the staff is superb. The room was small and accomodating, but could have used a thorough vacuuming. The bathroom was modern and clean, included a hair dryer, and a shaving/make-up mirror on the wall. The room includes is a Keureg (sp) coffee maker. Our floor had a water bottle station so we could take water with us on our excursions. There are irons/ironing boards on each floor. The location of the hotel was perfect for our trip -- walking distance to the Statue of Liberty/Ellis Island Ferry, and very close to shopping. We were directly across the street from "Ground Zero", and a block away from a subway station.
