Great location rooms are clean staff is helpful Used to be plenty of parking near by on the street for free, be aware that is non-existent, and only found 2 pay for parking in the area. Breakfast area is very small and can be chaotic at times. Real lack of good restaurants near by. Hotel is tail a good deal and would stay again.

i dont like the fact that as soon as i go to check in after a long day i had to pay an extra 100 dollars upfront just to go into my room to sleep. so that left a bitter taste in my mouth. finally i get upstairs and i go to take a shower and there no soap in the bathroom and the towels was as sand paper smh pretty high cost for low service if you ask me.

We arrived, check in fine, however three night stay, complained twice about luke warm, intolerable shower temperature. Finally fixed after two days. The last evening we arrived back to our room at 10 pm to find the room open, the bar that keeps the door from closing was engaged. Nothing missing, told the front desk, no discount at check out. The morning breakfast is extremely minimal and you have to take it back to your room after waiting . Bargain but not worth the savings.

US OPEN Weekend

Pros: Comfortable beds, near subway and nice deli
Cons: shower mildew , more space at breakfast---it gets crowded
Location: Great location for tennis fans!
Great value, near subway, terrific location to go to the US Open. We had an initial problem with the TV and the staff was there in seconds and fixed the problem. The room is comfortable and given the location relatively quiet. Nice breakfast too. My only complaint was that there was some mildew on the shower ceiling. Have stayed here before and would like to do so in the future if this is fixed.

Do not recommend.

Upon arriving we found out the "free nearby parking lot" they advertised was nonexistent. All the nearby parking garages required reservations ahead of time, so be sure to reserve a spot and have at least $100 to park for a few nights. We checked the mattress and sheets as we always do, and they seemed clean enough, but there was a mattress protector on the bed so we could not get too in depth. Our first morning we found a bed bug crawling across the sheets. We took pictures and a video and showed the front desk staff who confirmed it was a bed bug and told us to get our things out and he will find us a new room and call an exterminator. We did not want to stay at this inn, but no other hotels were available in the area with compatible ratings. We decided to check the new room (4 floors up) out. It was considerably smaller but again, seemed clean. We decided to stay in this room after spraying it and ourselves down with rubbing alcohol. We did not find any more bugs in this room, but were still uncomfortable with being in this hotel. We were not offered any type of discount or apology from the front desk for finding a BED BUG in our bed. Disappointed, and will not stay again.

Excellent budget hotel next to the subway

I had some doubts about booking this hotel based on a few reviews I saw, but I was very impressed at the value we got. Comfy bed and pillows in a smaller than normal room (5th floor, construction view) - but larger than what I believe we would have had in Manhattan. Literally steps away from the subway, which was a huge plus. Free breakfast, which wasn't bad. The self made waffle tasted off to me. Dunkin donuts and checkers right around the corner for late(ish) nights or breakfast options. Lucky's pizza right around the corner which was another food option. All in all I would absolutely stay here again.

Clean, comfortable, good value. Not a lovely location, but very convenient to the subway. Not enough space at breakfast. Friendly, helpful staff.

Good hotel for single, not fussy, travelers.

Clean. No bedbugs. No coffee machine or fridge in (my) room with one bed. There is 24/hr hot beverage machines on 2nd floor & filtered water machine (it's still good to buy bottled water for those who are sensitive). Great location to Manhattan. Grocery store with organic food is 2 blocks away with hot deli, sushi, pizza, etc. Subway stations (Queensboro or Queens Plaza) are 1-3 minutes walking distance. If you are traveling light, you can get to LGA via subway & bus.
