Room was spotless and the staff great. Couldn't have been better. The reservationist at checkout on a very snowy day in NYC went out of his way to get us a quick cab to LGA and even left the desk to take our three bags to the car in the slushy weather. It was a great stay.

Hotel is small, lobby is small and no frills. Unfortunately you’re close to Times Square so you get a lot of people hanging out on the benches out front. That said you’re right on the edge. Hudson yards is behind you which is good for business travel. Overall hotel was decent, it’s more inline with what you’d expect from a Holiday Inn or comfort inn but maybe that’s what double tree is going for. Rates were high so cost was inline with a nicer hotel this week so not a great value but if cheaper this would work well.

Pros: The location is convenient and clean Come: The rooms are tiny there was barely any room to place 2 suit cases. We called ahead and they said we can check in early (we had an overnight flight). We arrived at the hotel and they told us to come back at 1pm. We came back at 1:30 pm and the receptionist told us their systems are down and will let us know when they are back up. (Mind you she didn’t ask for our name or number) We waited till 3:30 and started noticing they started checking people in early we walked up and finally got checked in. The experience was horrible, I don’t believe for a second that their system was down I just don’t think they wanted to check us in early. When we finally got into the elevator, another guest saw what we experienced and she started she experienced a similar experience the day earlier and she was told the same thing that their system was “down”. I value customer service there I will not be staying there again.

Check in was frustrating as the computer system was down. I had requested early check in, so this was not possible with the system failure. The front desk handled it as best it could but it was a real disappointment. Furthermore, the in room safe, refrigerator and plugs/electrical outlets on one side of the room didn’t work, limiting charge up opportunities. Last, I expected the noise from the street but the room had noise coming from the A/C or machine room nearby. Despite using ear plugs that noise came through. I’m honestly not sure I would stay at this property again.
