We barely had hot water for the shower throughout our entire stay. I brought it up to the front desk and they sent someone to look at it, but there was no improvement. Also, they were doing some construction which led to sometimes 10-15 minute waits for the elevators.

Pros: the staff was wonderful! Very friendly and accommodating! Cons: it was incredibly cold in NYC but the heat in our room didn't work at all. We had to sleep in our winter coats. They came in the first night to try snd fix but it didn't work. Made for a really uncomfortable 3 nights

Because of this I was freezing the 1st night as I waited for the room to heat-up, until a message came up on the termostat at 3 am! The 2nd day I got a different room. I expected that rooms are inspected by staff to ensure they are in good order.

What stood out at Hilton Garden Inn, New York/Central Park South – Midtown West was the quiet room, accommodating staff, distance from amenities, or pet friendly. Recommend for a calm and touch-less stay.

Elevator wait times were longer than an expected wait time. Had an issue with the shower water getting warm in the morning. Concourse level smelled like sewer gas. Overall stay was ok. Staff brought extra pillows and Kleenex when asked. Would not stay there again

This hotel was in a good location. The room was on the smaller side, but was clean. There are really no amenities in the hotel as far as food is concerned, so you have to go out if you want coffee or snacks. The lobby is quite small and when we were there a large busload of people was trying to check in which made it very chaotic. The elevators are also very slow. We had to wait 5-10 minutes regularly for the elevator. Probably would not seek out this hotel specifically for another trip to NYC.
