Location was perfect! Walking distance to Times Square and Broadway. The hotel is tired and needs some updating. But the rooms were quiet and the AC worked well. The bathroom was very clean and shower was good; Towels were crunchy. We had a good stay overall. No problems with the elevators.

Unfortunately we were told at check in that a "pipe broke a week ago" and the elevators were limited and it may be 30 minutes to get a down elevator. Lowest floor available was 15. Offered to cancel with full pre-paid refund (and wander around NYC to find a hotel?!) or stay with no compensation. Then at 2;20 AM Fire alarm went off. No announcement. Went in hallway of 15th floor to decide descending stairs. Front desk did not answer the phone. Alarm stopped! One firetruck came and then left. Guests in hall did not know what to do. Alarm went off again at 9:40 AM and finally announcement came on saying it was false. Day and elevator Staff brought in did best they could. NOTE: no rates, profanity or specific personal info given

Elevator was broken for two weeks according to the staff, when we arrived we were told we can cancel if we choose to but we were already there. They could have let us k ow prior to our arrival and gave us choice then. It took forever for elevator to arrived and we were told if we check in then we can’t complain afterwards. We hear door slamming all hours of the night. We Paid for two nights no one clean the room.

Elevators were broken. Phones were broken. You had to text the front desk to request the 1 working elevator stop on your floor to be able to get out. In my two day stay I spent over 45 minutes on both days waiting for the elevator to stop on my floor. Staff was unresponsive. A terrible experience really. Rooms were average not good not terrible. Water pressure was bad in the shower.

The staff was great. But the elevators were having issues and it would take up to 20 minutes sometimes for an elevator. Also the fire alarm “accidentally” went off in the middle of the night. You can imagine how that was with funky elevators. Just glad it wasn’t a real fire.

It was bad, terrible experience during the stay : 1) phone lines were not working and there is no way to communicate at the reception. 2) no complementary water bottles available in the room. 3) false fire alarm buzzed twice : First at late night around 2 AM which does not let us sleep again and forced to use stairs to evacuate the room n lobby as we cannot use elevators, I stayed at floor 14 and keeping my daughter in arms evacuated the room which was so pathetic, tiring and risky too. Second at 9 AM in morning which again lead us to evacuate the room n lobby using stairs . 4) mini fridge in room giving some miserable noise which does not let us sleep silently. 5) To get elevators to go down the management of hotel started a WhatsApp group which let us keep waiting for 5 mins and also buzzing 24x7 with messages of multiple guests at the hotel using elevators to go down whole day n night. 6) Staff did not guide upfront about the snacks and drinks I booked with my booking and only provided the information upon asking. 7) Cloths dryer was not working due to so called flood situation happened sometime before my stay (as information provided by staff). 8) Exhaust fan in bathroom was not working 9) shower tab is not working appropriately, meaning it does not stayed at warm water setting instead rolling down automatically to hot water. Me and my family were truly disheartened, it does not met the expectation with a brand Hilton. We did not enjoyed the stay.

I checked in and first they did not have my reservation. I was informed that the elevators were manually operated due to a flood two weeks earlier. They told me I had to call the front desk to get an elevator down. I said, “No problem.” I tried to call for the elevator on my room phone, it did not connect. I tried to call the front desk from my cell phone and I received the message that the entire phone system was down. I was left on the 29TH FLOOR with no way to call the elevator. At this point, I felt it was unsafe to remain in a hotel that is many many stories without reliable and safe transportation down. I walked down to the first floor, checked out after only being there a few hours, got my things and left. While I was leaving, there was mass confusion because only one elevator was even operating. I was later informed by the hotel guest services that I was not entitled a refund because I agreed to the elevator situation. I agreed to the situation that I could call someone for an elevator. I did not agree to be virtually trapped on the floor because the phones were not operational to call an elevator. If I had been an elderly or disabled person, I would have been virtually stuck on the 29th floor until someone got off that floor. This experience has not only soured me on booking this hotel, but using Expedia at all. I understand I booked a “non refundable” reservation, but I also booked a room with the expectation of having safe and reliable transport.
