How does this happen....

This was VERY disappointing. I get there to check in at 730 pmand they tell me the hotel is closing and the rooms have minimal accomodations! I did not choose to stay. I needed to find another place at 730pm to stay for the night. This is very unacceptable and how does Hotels.com not know this....I received no prior communications that this was happening. This is the second time in the past few months that something of great magnitude has taken place...things that are huge when you are traveling.
