Love Marriot!!

I was in Brooklyn on some potentially stressful business. My stay at the Marriott was so relaxing & comfortable. The room was beautiful! Wish I could've stayed longer, but this will be where I hang my hat whenever I come to Brooklyn!!

The hotel was nice overall but I did have a major predicament that could have been handled better. When I checked in the staff was friendly and it took only a few moments to verify my reservation and make it up to my room. The room was excellent. It was clean had a very good view and met my expectations spot on. My gf and I freshened up and changed because we had an event to go to right away. The bell hops offered to find us a ride but we had one scheduled already. When we came back we found out that the fighters from the event we would attend the next day (UFC 208) were staying in our hotel! I ran upstairs to our room to grab the camera while she stayed in the lobby with the other fans to possibly get pictures and autographs. While up there I lowered the thermostat to 70 degrees because being from Louisiana we CAN NOT sleep without the AC blasting; it reminds us too much of hurricane weather when the electricity goes out and you have to sleep in the natural humid LA air. Hours later after we met 10 or so fighters including Anderson Silva, our favorite, we headed back to the room to rest up for the next day. When we walked in it was super stuffy like the heat was on. I immediately checked the thermostat to find that the air was still on but wasn't working. We showered hoping that when we finished it would start cooling off. It didn't. I threw on some clothes and headed down stairs to tell the receptionist. She apologized and told me she would send an "engineer" to help resolv

Great hotel

The staff was very helpful and friendly. One front desk employee even gave us her own personal ibuprofen when we needed some late at night and he gift shop was closed. Rooms were clean and comfortable and had all the amenities we needed for our stay. I would recommend to anyone.

No Room Service

Pros: Housekeeping was very helpful and pleasant.
I stayed in the King's Suite for my wedding weekend and requested a room with a view of the Brooklyn Bridge. Well that didn't happen and my room was so far from the elevators, ice machine and vending machines -- we dreaded having to leave the room and get anything. The up escalator was being serviced in the middle of the day and when I called the front desk to ask about room service - the person on the phone basically laughed at me. We spent way too much money for a room that came with absolutely nothing - Not even a Mini Bar -- Not this hotel!

Well located hotel

It was a great hotel with friendly staff. The biggest down fall was the confusion of parking and the pillows were very uncomfortable

I paid $335 for one night, my room had a King size bed with a New York City Skyline view. Upon entering my room, it was noticably smaller than I had thought for the price I paid. The South Tower rooms need renovating. The ceiling above the shower in my room had peeling paint chips. The air ducts were filled with dust. Room service only does cleaning on the surface. When it comes to ordering food, the hotel does not have room service in that regard, only a bar downstairs, so I had to go out to order. I would not have minded that except it takes two elevators for South Tower guests to get to the main lobby to enter and exit the hotel. I must say, the bed was very comfortable, and the view, great. Overall my one night stay was okay, I just expected more for the price I paid.

Great bed, great location

Pros: Quiet
Cons: No free Internet
Just spent a long weekend here for a Brooklyn wedding. The beds were really comfortable, and the rooms were fairly quiet (for being in NY). The location is so close to the subways, and you are one stop away from Manhattan. The cab fare from LaGuardia is not bad. It's also close to the Brooklyn Bridge, which you must walk across if you stay there! Nice staff too. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

The hotel made me feel welcome.

Cons: No free Internet
Hotel was nice and centerally located. I just wish the wi-fi would have been included because of the cost of the room.
