This was the first of many b&B's we stayed at on our UK trip and it was the best and the only one that I would actually recommend to people. The breakfast was really delicious.
Lovely hotel in a perfect location for the nature reserve not far from town either. Friendly and efficient team of staff, including a very good chef. Very comfortable.
Lovely room, very comfortable, spacious and clean.
Staff mostly friendly but staff cashing up at 8.30 in the evening while we were having a drinks after our meal and service at breakfast a bit sparse
Great place to stay for Valentines day with good location. Lovely warm welcome from staff on arrival who showed us to our room. Stayed in room 5, gorgeous room which was very spacious.Cocktails were great and the food was delicious. Unfortunately we didnt sleep very well due to very hot room and faulty radiator. Comfy kingsize bed and great shower. Breakfast was delicious and member of staff was very helpful. Will definitely return
Staff are very helpful room was lovely and clean and very large bathroom was stunning could not use the shower myself as door very small and i am a large chap but first class
We have stayed at the Mayflower many times over the last 8 years. The same manager is still there which is lovely to see. Food is always good and service is great. It's a home away from home.
Spent a few days here whilst visiting family and everything about the stay was excellent, would definitely recommend as a base to explore the area from to anyone.
We stayed one night, 2 adults and a toddler.
Fab spacious room and wonderful bathroom.
All staff were so friendly and helpful.
Breakfast t was a great selection
We will return

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service, amenities
We were pleased that our room had a view over the marina, which was lovely. Fascinating watching the Isle of Wight ferry come and go. The ensuite was nicely decorated, and modern, but the overhead shower head could do with replacing as water came out of only about half the holes. Lovely toiletries provided. The room looked lovely, but there are many paint chips and scuffs. Downstairs, the food was really good. Breakfast also tasty, though I'd have liked cereals to be available as well. Overall, it served our purposes well, but the whole place could do with a big tidy up.
The pub is charming to look at and the meal was nice but our room was shocking. There was mould on one of the bathroom towels and when we woke up my partner found a toenail clipping stuck to his arm and he was covered in little black bugs! I complained and received a discount on my food bill. Strange customer service as my meal was the best part of the stay and received no complaints from us.
