I didn't realise when i booked that i booked a room for disabilities, so i told them in advance. When we got there the receptionist said it didn't matter and that nobody needed it for that night. We couldnt have wished for more. It was spacious, plush, had everything. The view of the city was nice. Lighting was excellent. It had a very big bathroom with wetroom shower. If the standard rooms are half as good I'd be happy. Breakfast is not your traditional English it has a turkish twist to it. We had poached eggs on sour dough toast with smoked salmon on the side.

The stay was okay we booked a city view room, but the room was quite small and the windows didn’t open , so no fresh air. Deco was lovely, hotel staff were too. The breakfast wasn’t completely covered just a £24 person.

Small, expensive, give it a miss.

Room tiny and impractical more style over function. Bathroom shower floods as door didn’t seal. Nowhere to hang clothes, no iron and ironing board, no room to sit down or get dressed. Confusing ‘rules’ around what is included in breakfast which is not mentioned in booking details.

Aesthetically, an absolutely beautiful hotel. The dark colours and the stuff in the room are lovely...coffee maker, glasswear, clothes steamer. But...it's a little style over substance. Shower rooms are tiny and theoretically, perfectly formed, but water leaks massively under the shower door which is too low down to have a shower mat next to it, resulting in a flooded bathroom, and sometimes bedroom. There is a 1cm gap from the toilet saloon style doors to the bedroom, leading to no privacy whilst using the bathroom. The doors to the bathroom and the shower are pretty but are too narrow leading to mulitple trapped fingers. The kettle plug is too chunky to be plugged in where the kettle is located so need to move it to the only other plug hole i could fine near the bed, but the flex is too short to have it on the floor so needed to balance it on a small ledge next to the bed. The reception staff were polite at best but were too cool for school. A lack of any warmth and friendliness...polite but just going through the rehearsed motions. Had breakfast once and next table offered extras as part of the breakfast buffet included, that we weren't offered. This wasn't a slight on ourselves...there was a difference in what each staff member was offering from what we heard from adjacent tables, so just a lack of consistency. Overall...ok but have had better for less and despite the positives of the location and aesthetics, i wouldn't stay again.
