hotel was worth every penny

First trip to London. We were pleasantly surprised with this hotel. They took great care of us and were very efficient. Very cute, european room with all amenities, even U.S. electrical outlets! Booked the deluxe room before we left just to be safe...worth every penny! Hotel bar had light foods (pizza,nachos) and great margaritas. Great location..2 min.walk from Great Portland tub station and right by Regent's Park which is absolutely beautiful. Can't think of any negatives, except coffee was not the greatest but we expected that.

Surprisimg!

This was our 1st trip booked through the travel website so we were very skeptical. After all was said and done, it was a wonderful experience. We had the V -or royal accom. service or corporate because it was less money than staying in standard rooms at other hotel. The royal service included, special checkin, king bed, free buffet breakfast and after dinner drinks. Service and staff were very accomodating. I would highly recommend this hotel because of the service and the accesibility to the tube. We did extensive touring and this location made it easy. Our primary reason for this location was our son is attending school in regents Park.

Nice hotel...terrible service...

The service was TERRIBLE. I travel often, and have never experienced such rude/poor service. We stayed at this hotel because of it?s proximity to a friend we were visiting. We planned on staying at Le Meridien at Piccadilly which is a 5 star hotel. We didn't think it would be a significant difference in quality since Melia White House is rated 4 stars. I highly recommend you spend the extra money and stay at a more reputable hotel. When I expressed my concerns to the Manager, nothing was done. Feel free to email me with any questions.

Good, not great

Nice hotel, within a 10 minute walk of 3 tube stations. The staff was very courteous and helpful although there were one or two who didn't speak English well. In addition, one of the staff manning the concierge desk seemed to be a recent addition to the staff and really knew very little about London. The restaurants on site were above average but pricey. The room was small but comfortable.\n\nLondon itself is a fantastic city city to visit. Many, many things to do and see regardless of they type of traveler you may be. Camden town, Soho, Leicester Square were some of my favorite areas.

Clean and Quiet

The hotel staff were polite, even though my fiance and I obviously did not belong as most of their customers were older well-to-do couples and families. The decor was quite gaudy, all gold and mirrors but everything was clean. The room was very big compared to the last time we were in London where we barely had room to move. The hotel is pricey and not worth the price especially with the exchange ratio of US $ vs. the British pound being 2:1. However, it was quiet and right next to several tube stations as well as Regent¿s Park. I need a quiet place to sleep due to a medical condition but I can probably find something cheaper.

London Trip

What a beautiful hotel. The staff was excellent and the deluxe room was very roomy. I would stay there again!!!

Amazing cost benefict with Elegance.

It is good to be in an spanish group Hotel, things are more relaxed.they serve the best Ham of the world ""Jamon Pata Negra"" in your room or at the bar."

Disappointing

If you're looking for an ""English"" or ""British"" experience - you won't find it here. The hotel appears to be part of a Spanish hotel group and most of the staff were not English, with the result that while friendly, sometimes they have trouble communicating. My stay was frustrating as the computers in the business center broke down with no alternative to go online. The bed was old and uncomfortable, the rooms were not that clean. Overall inconsistent quality and service and sub-par for the star rating and price.

concierge was the best

We bought all of our tickets from the concierge for the attractions in London. Very convenient to Great Portland Station. If you get a Melia Card, you can have 2 buffet breakfasts for the price of one. Great location, nice and clean, rooms a bit small, but they are all small in London. They have computers you can use to get onto the internet in the business center, but they cost. Would definately stay again. Great service, convenient location and pretty clean.
