Genuinely the worst armpit room in London. Had to hold my breath before using the airplane type loo as the smell from the pipes was so awful. A night in the police cells would have been nicer (and free)....why are Hotels.com even affiliated with this places?

Basic hotel but kept clean and is in good walking distance from Euston station so easy to get around London. Good option if you're needing somewhere to sleep after a long day out and about.

My stay at Goodwood Hotel was disappointing. Upon arrival, I encountered extremely poor customer service — the front desk staff (who I believe was also the manager) was rude and raised his voice at me when I calmly suggested there was a better way to communicate hotel policies. I was surprised at the hostility, especially when I was simply asking about holding my bags for a couple of hours before check-in. The rooms are very small, and most of them have *shared bathrooms*, which was in the advert but you have to be paying attention. None of the rooms are as advertised - the front desk staff verbatim said the picture posted online is used for all the rooms and the rooms don’t actually look like that. The bathroom facilities were in poor condition — more like small closet-sized stalls, with the toilet and shower in separate, cramped spaces. Not kept clean - Definitely not what you'd expect even from a 2-star hotel. The bed was reasonably comfortable, and check-in/out outside of the first encounter went smoothly. That said, you truly get what you pay for — maybe even less. I was glad it was just a one-night stay!

Arrived at hotel, reception didn’t seem aware of the process. Went up to the bedroom which was on a slant, with uneven floorboards and the wooden cupboards were water damaged. Our room was adjacent to the shared toilet, we could hear a man urinating as if we were in the toilet with him. We weren’t aware that the bathroom’s were shared and would have made a go of it but my wife is pregnant and the showers were on different floors, so it was unsuitable. Spoke to hotels.com regarding the issue and they agreed to call reception and ask for a refund. It took too long so we checked out, the receptionist was in the ignoring the ringing phone. It then took the hotel three days to answer the call from Hotels.com regarding a refund, but they refused. Avoid if you desire cleanliness and a good attitude.

First room was a moldy room in the basement with neither electrical outlets nor connectivity. There were random bits of trash strewn around. After I complained, I was put in a better top floor room, except also with leftover towels from a previous guest in random places. Then, the day before I left, a sewage pipe appears to have burst on my floor, with what appeared to be feces-mixed water leaking down into a bucket that had been placed in the stairway below. This was not fixed, nor was it mentioned at all by the staff.

Room was okay unfortunately the hot water tap in the bathroom did not operate fully with a very low water flow (drips). As I was just there one night I got by. However in the morning whilst having a shower I heard a knock on the door and was told to stop as the water was leaking to the floor below. So not a very pleasant experience. Room was okay for price paid.

Ideal location as it’s so close to Euston station and plenty of cafes and convience stores nearby. The check-in and check-out process was fine and the staff were helpful, efficient and friendly. The room could have done with another clean though.

Can’t complain for the price really, but the bed and pillows were very uncomfortable and the shower was angled awkwardly so had to hold it in a specific spot at all times. Water was also very hard to get to the right temp. Neighboring rooms were also very loud Decent stay overall but probably wouldn’t recommend for any more than one night

The only reason this hotel gets a star at all is the redeaming qualities of the staff who were perfectly cordial, professional and pleasant. Also, it doesnt allow you to give 0 The bed was disgusting with a literally spring sticking out of the mattress. Our only solace was that the sheets were crisp and clean as was the bedding. We opted to stay in our street clothes nonetheless. Our guest mates above continued their nightly inebriation outside our door ALL night, the conversation was chaotic, volatile, loud ranging from uncontrollable sobbing to maniacal laughter. The staff attempted once to quiet them to no success. It was close to terrifying You could smell the rancid booze every time they walked past our room Let's not skip over the odious scent of the hotel in general; damp, musty and urinated. Pest control boxes throughout Disgusting
