Dukes Cabin at Gilbert Lake is the perfect location for your Cooperstown getaway. The main entrance to the beautiful 1,500 acre Gilbert Lake state park is right next door, where you can lay on the sandy beach, swim in the lake, kayak, or hike the many trails. The property is 20-25 minutes to Cooperstown (Baseball Hall of Fame/ Dreams Park) and 15 minutes to Oneonta.

Newly renovated in 2021, the cabin has an open floor plan brand new kitchen with stainless steel appliances, new bathroom, and brand new comfortable bedding. Hi speed WiFi, landline phone, and Sling TV provided with over 30 major channels.

From the front deck you can listen to nature, and sometimes the stream that runs along the front of the property. Dining set on the back deck let’s you enjoy outdoor meals (BBQ also provided for cooking).

Updated, modern cabin in beautiful location across from Gilbert Lake State Park, within easy driving distance to Cooperstown, Fly Creek and Oneonta. Cabin had everything we needed, and thank goodness air conditioning worked great, because it was over 90 degrees that week!

Great Cabin

Loved the cabin and the location. Our son played at ASV and it was a short beautiful drive to and from. The cabin was perfect for my husband and I. Clean and comfortable; I would highly recommend!

A hidden gem in New York

Place was so amazing. Clean. Air conditioner cooled down the house very fast. Beds comfortable. Just a quick 13 min drive to all star village. Perfect for my wife and an I and our 14 yr old daughter. Only suggestion would be to have some wash cloths in the bathroom. Other thank that, we would stay here again for sure.

Clean, Cozy & Convenient Cabin for Cooperstown

My wife and I stayed at Duke’s Cabin while our son was at All-Star Village for the Cooperstown tournament. The cabin was quiet and secluded, while being only 15-minutes away from All-Star Village where our son was playing/staying and 28-min from Downtown Cooperstown. My wife enjoyed reading on the front porch, we grilled out in the back and sat on the patio. Reliable Wi-Fi allowed us to relax and watch movies and baseball at night on the flat screen. Everything was clean and well appointed. 15-second drive to Gilbert Lake where my wife paddle boarded and I got some time to fish. Can’t recommend this cabin enough.

We stayed at Duke's Cabin during Week 1 of Cooperstown All Star Village, and it was absolutely perfect for our family! The cabin sits right in front of a peaceful creek, which made for the most relaxing mornings sipping coffee on the front porch.The drive to All Star Village was an easy 13 minutes, and we loved the scenic route filled with wildlife—deer, beavers, rabbits, and chipmunks kept us entertained every day. It became a fun car ride to count how many we spotted between the cabin and the field!If you're looking for a quiet, nature-filled getaway close to the action of Cooperstown/All Star Village, Duke's Cabin is a gem. We’d definitely stay here again!

Great stay, cute cabin!

We had a great stay at this cute cabin! We arrived late in the pouring rain and were happy to see a motion light greet us and easy entry. Each room had its own heat control which was perfect. The cabin was clean and neat. There were some games available that we enjoyed with our 7 year old daughter. The cabin was out of cell range for us so the WiFi was excellent to have. A beautiful quiet area with lots of deer on our rides to and from the cabin. Wish we could have stayed longer!

Hidden Gem

The household was just bug enough for our needs. Clean, well apportioned and close to Gilbert Lake State Park, a hidden gem. We enjoyed seeing deer at dawn and dusk. The weather was a welcomed change from the FL heat and it was close to everything we came to do.

Duke’s cabin is close enough but also far enough from the Allstar Village to really enjoy your stay. We loved it. Clean, quiet, dark (at night), and remote. I highly recommend!

Beautiful Retreat

Our son played at CASV and my husband and I, our nine year-old and my mother-in-law all stayed comfortably at Duke’s Cabin. It was a much needed peaceful place with all of the needed amenities. If our younger son places at CASV in the future, we will definitely be back at Duke’s!

Duke's Cabin really is a true cabin

You don't find. places like this on the west coast. We were in town for the annual Cooperstown All Star Village tournament fit the bill. It was nice, quiet and high quality. About 20 minutes from All Star Village but well worth it. Wifi was strong so I could work for half a day and TV and amenities were all present. We're done with Cooperstown but wouldn't mind staying here again in a second if I had another kid needing to play in a future year.

Dukes Cabin

We stayed at Dukes cabin for week 6 at the Cooperstown ASV. Absolutely perfect place to unwind after a long day at the ASV. Dukes Cabin was exactly as described, perfect location (12 mins from ASV) and had everything we needed. I would highly recommend if you’re looking for a cozy, quiet cabin in the woods.
