when we checked in to our room, there was dust all over the condo. rust in the bathroom, in the shower, etc.so dirty and didn't even look like anyone cleaned it in months. there was some "personal" body hair in the shower and the sink prior to using it. the dishwasher had a pool of water in it as well. and we never even used it. along with personal body hair. the ice maker didn't work. we spend over $150.00 for bags of ice every day. the hot tub had cracks in it and the water wasn't even filled. the actual big pool wasn't even open. would've been nice to know prior to booking here. the tiny pool that was open was dirty. always had dirt and leaves and trash. overall it was a terrible trip and no one from customer service even bothered to return my messages.

This property was perfect for my family get away! It was nice having 2 separate bed rooms and bathrooms, and having the living area and kitchen was great! We will be staying here again!

I must admit the price was right and the affordability and location are what attracted us at first. We needed to be able to walk to the convention center and were pleased to find something with a full kitchen that was a good price. We found amenities that are often missing in rented condos. The bed was comfortable. The balcony was enjoyable. The kitchen was very well equipped. The jacuzzi tub and the washer / dryer were nice surprises. Our morning walks to the convention center took about 5 minutes. The afternoon walks (uphill after a long day!) took a little longer. We will definitely recommend Town Square to our friends and plan to return next April.

This is the 6th time staying at Gatlinburg Town Square. Great location and nice 2 BR condo size. It's been 5 years since we stayed here and we were honestly disappointed overall. We expected a 5 star stay and got a bit less. The beds were worn out....with a big dip in the middle. No excuse for that. The appliances were almost new, but previously they had really good ones and now they are low end. The nice fountains and waterfall was not working and looked like they had not been for years. The big waterfall is the signature of the property and you really miss this. We were assigned 101 overlooking the road. We asked to be in the back with the stream, but perhaps that's the luck of the draw. For us to stay here again, we have to be guaranteed comfortable beds.

The website showed pictures of the main resort across the road. It was huge and nice. The pictures were attractive. Apparently, they bought an abandoned hotel across the street and are renovating it. I drove away from the place I stayed initially because it looked empty and in disrepair. It seems a few units were renovated to make them habitable. I just wonder if I paid the same as the people who were in the main building.

Everything about this property was great. Room was clean and just like it was described. Close and walkable to everything you could dream of. Swimming pool/hot tub was across the street was the only negative I would have to say.

NOTE re: PROPERTY LAYOUT
**NOTE re: the property. There are TWO buildings on opposite sides of the street. We booked 2 queens for our family of 4 not knowing this. It can be an issue for families w kids (like us). The initial room we were given was in the building where you check in (on the opposite side of the street from the pool & amenities). That room was dismal & not at all like the pics. We inquired and were moved to the opposite side with a king bed & fold out sofa. That unit looked like the pictures and was lovely. They did say they’d up charge us for the switch, but my husband refused to accept it. All in all they were accommodating & it all worked out well. We’d stay again, but book the king w sofa sleeper to ensure being closer to amenities.

The add for this place is very misleading. Pictures and wording lead us to believe we were renting a condo with a balcony, a pool and a short walking distance to downtown. Upon checkin we were told they had 3 properties and that we had rented a hotel room. The clerk was kind and apologized explaining this is a common issue and he has tried to report it. The bldg is old and it showed. We did not have a balcony, the ones they did have were rusted out anyway. It was decently clean but could definitely have been better. There was no maid or even towel service during our stay and we never found an ice machine. The pool was closed but we were told we could walk a block to the condo resort and use theirs. The "short walk" was a block further since we were at the hotel and we ended up paying 20$ to park closer because the walk back is all up hill and too much for me after walking around all day. We visit the area 2 to 3 times a year and this defeated the reason we chose to change from where we normally stay. We made the best of it but will never choose this place again.
