"Be mindful when booking one of the annex rooms. They are really not very nice and miles from the main hotel with failing lifts and narrow stairways. The night staff were helpful but the room and awful outlook wasn’t something they could resolve. Not helped by an extremely loud party and mention of same again the following night. I absolutely wouldn’t book again."

"We have visited York on numerous occasions over the years and this is by far the best hotel we have stayed in. The central location meant that it was only a short walk to the main attractions. The staff were helpful and courteous with check in and out being swift and easy. The choice and quality of food at breakfast was excellent. The rooms were modern, fresh and clean with all the amenities you would expect. The bathroom was light and airy with a powerful shower which was easy to use. All in all, I highly recommend this hotel ."

"The hotel was ok the spa was nice would say it was over priced for the room the bed was slightly bigger the matress was needing replaced it had no softness to it the tv was bigger there were glass tops on the table and the units in the room that had been cleaned on top but not under the glass so you could see all the dust under them but other then that no different then a premier inn nothing special the staff were very good and glad to help very polite and friendly it did have a btilliant view of the racecourse from the terrace of the room"
