The hotel is really lovely and has so many lovely personal touches that makes it feel like a home from home. The staff are so friendly and helpful. The breakfasts are great and the bed is so comfortable.

The hotel was really nice, however it was just really noisy. The wooden floors without the right insulation enable all the noise from the room upstairs to be hear when some walks etc. our room was the one on the ground floor near reception and the constants noise form thenkitcrh/ dinning area, car park etc made it into a rather disappointing stay. A shame as the room was beautiful, although tired in places still beautifully decorated.

Delightful hotel.

We stayed here before so knew what to expect. The hotel is great and easy access to York city centre. the breakfast seems a little pricy, but you definitely won't go hungry!! Only gripe, £25 a night to park in their car park. As a guest of a not cheap hotel, I would expect parking to be included with maybe a charge if used beyond check out.

A lovely place to stay, with charming touches

I enjoyed my stay - the hotel staff were fantastic, and the massage I booked was out of this world! My room was less than spacious, though the ceiling was very high which helped it feel bigger (and the four poster bed was fab). I loved the help-yourself pantry, and the skin and hair products were lovely.
