I am on a wheelchair and the shower chair was gross. Thank God I always bring my own. Hotel needs to be updated. Carpet was all wore out. However, it was very close to our venue. Breakfast was great. Had good eggs. No AC in the lobby. Eating breakfast was brutal. It is hard to enjoy a good meal, when you are sweating. Plus they did not allow us to take our food to our room. There was a sign that said so. Staff never really interacted with us. Not very friendly. I probably will not suggest this to my friends.

Would you enjoy walking into a hotel where all the lobby and dining area lights are turned off (so it’s very dark inside), the lobby a/c is either turned off or not working, there’s a weird smell permeating the entrance, the front desk clerk stays seated in a very low chair behind the desk (where you can’t even see him from a distance) and doesn’t even welcome you… If you would enjoy all of this, then this Wingate is for you!!! The hotel is dirty (mold on bathroom door and stained sofas in the rooms), hot (no working a/c in lobby), creepy (all lights turned off in the lobby and dining areas) and staff is unfriendly (clerk will stay seated, hiding behind the front desk, and will not even welcome you or ask if you’re checking in). I was meeting with someone in the lobby area with tables, and when I asked the front desk if lights could be turned on they said “they can only be turned on inside the maintenance room and it’s locked”. As weird as it sounds, it feels like they’re trying to save money by having all the lights off. This is truly the most bizarre experience I have ever had in over twenty years of business travel. I was stuck there for the night and had to stay, but did not even shower in the morning and left as soon as I could. Is Wyndham Corporate aware of the current condition of this hotel? It does NOT look like the pictures on Expedia (they must be at least ten years old). BEWARE!!! STAY AWAY!!!

I will NEVER come back. The room was dirty. There was blood stains on the sheet. The bathroom was disgusting. The furniture was old and stained. My husband didn't wanna sit on the couch. The laminate floor looked as if it had water under it because it was bubbled up. When we explained it to the desk manager he didn't seem surprised by any of it. As soon as we checked in, we went up to the room, and checked right back out. We asked for a refund and he told us he couldn't give it that day. He said he would credit my card the next day. I'm still waiting for my credit. NEVER WILL I EVER COME BACK.

The room was fine. Shower and water pressure were great. Outside the building looked aged. The front desk qhen we arrived was not overly friendly but wasnt rude just quiet. We checked in easy and got our room keys. Everything was fine until the evening of our first night. We stayed 2 nights total. The first evening the smell of cigarettes was so strong in our room all of a sudden especially in the bathroom. Then all night it smelled like stale smoke in the room and we had a non smoking room because neither of us smoke. The next day it stopped for the morning but as the day went on it came back. My hisband went up and complained and all he was told was im sorry and its a no smoking facility that maybe it was the ac because others had complained. It continued to be strong dor about 30 minutes and all of a sudden the smell was gone. Im not sure qho was amoking or where but it was awful. We even looked outside and their was nobody standing outside our room either. Very odd and didnt do anything to really help us out or even offer us another room. It seemed as if they may have known where or who it was since it did finally stop. Our stuff smelled of stale smoke. Awful. Room itself was as advertised and good.

Shuttle service stopped at 10. I was the only person on the shuttle (car). Front desk person called to be sure I was coming. Same person checked me in. Could use a lesson or 2 in customer service/hospitality. Not friendly. No nonsense.
