Location location location!

This home is right on the water, so the ocean views are stunning and it's hugely convenient being able to easily go back and forth from the house to the beach. Our only complaint was the strong, moldy smell that was quite overpowering when you entered the home. I know it's the beach and battling the constant moisture is hard for homeowners, but the smell was really bad and should be addressed. We didn't let that hinder our stay and would absolutely book this home again.

What A Dump!

This horrible experience started with the total lack of communication from Vacasa when we were trying to confirm whether the home was not affected by Beryl, and the roads were clear. Some of our family were driving 10 hours, so we wanted confirmation before we drove down. I received nothing back from Vacasa before we left to drive down, and when I did, it sounded like an AI response telling me all about Beryl and where it made landfall and if my vacation home was in that area I should check on it. That’s what I was trying to do!! It took more than 24 hours for communication, and some questions weren’t responded to until we’d been checked out for two days! Outside the paint is peeling. Inside there’s a huge dent in the wall and nasty looking stain from leaks. The top floor AC doesn’t work. It was set on 74 and wouldn’t get above 64! We let them know about this on the first day, and no one came to fix it in the 4 days we were there, didn’t even have a response. There is no grill, and no grill in the community you can use. I’ve been coming to Port A for over 50 years, and this was the worst rental, the worst communication, the most neglected as far as maintenance etc, and the most expensive I’ve ever stayed in. Definitely not worth the money, even though it had pretty views. This unit is very close to the rental next door who had barking dogs when we were trying to enjoy our deck. There is NO way to get a hold of anyone at Vacasa who is local, they are all in another state.

Check-in was Rough

The codes came from some other website other than VRBO and went to junk mail. We were waiting around 45 minutes after check-in time in 100+ degree weather trying to get into the unit. Texting and email via messenger on the VRBO app. No response! House has damaged door that has rotten wood and beyond difficult to open. In addition, the house smelled of mold and mildew the entire stay. Not a huge fan of this rental. Had much better accomadations in the past when in Port Aransas.

Amazing!

This house was so beautiful! You can’t find a place without a view of the ocean. Our family had a quick walk to the beach or community pool. It was a wonderful week! The a/c went out the second day and the management had someone out and fixed it within a few hours. It was so nice to be able to have great service! Thank you and we will be back!

Great getaway property, right on the beach!

Great house, plenty of space, rooms, bathrooms, and right on the beach! Our party of 11 ranging from ages 9-70's enjoyed our time and were able to easily enjoy several local attractions and long walks on the beach.

Great location

We had a great time. The weather was great, the location was great and for the most part the house was too. The primary door out to the deck that allows you to sit and watch the waves and sand ( the most important reason for paying extra for a beach front property) was inoperable. This wasn't listed on the description until we had made full payment and were only a month away from our family vacation. It was apparently an instance where the door was back ordered and was unavailable in time for repair. The staff was very upfront with this information and very helpful so that was appreciated. I do feel that the price for the rental should have been compensated for this though as we were not really getting what we paid for.

The main door to the outside 2nd floor deck was missing a handle to the door on the inside. I wish we had a pantry, not enough space/storage for all the food. When you have 15 people staying you need storage space, etc. not enough kitchen space. The dining room table was good, but the benches were not that comfy, the fridge door would not stay opened while trying to get anything out of it-very frustrating, simple fix -needs to be adjusted. The drawers were kind of hard to pull open, the knobs need to be tightened. Wish we had more deck chairs for 2nd floor balcony.

Perfect location and rental property

Perfect set up for Family of 5 adults and one child. Parents and child used bottom level and living area, one adult on 2nd level and two adults on top. We all had our own bathrooms and it was great because we weren’t on top of each and had a place to go when needed. House was clean and easy access to beach. Swimming pool in community was nice to have. Would suggest they state something about main patio doors not working. They’ve not been working for awhile and that would be nice for renters ti know ahead of time. You have to walk downstairs and go out front door then back up ramp to use. Repairman came while we were there and it’s so rusted out it has to be replaced. Also would suggest they get new hooks for hanging towels by front door as they’re completely rusted out and some curtains for living area to cut glare during the day. We were a bale tonight boat and 2 trucks in drive but 4 vehicles wouldn’t work as it says on site. There is a place for overflow parking nearby though.

Family stay at the beach

We had a great time. The house was as advertised and more. There were extra paper towels, laundry and dish soap, toilet paper, and plenty of fluffy towels. The kitchen was well stocked and It was an enjoyable week. We all had fun and would recommend this house ON THE BEACH to anyone. Thank you.

Beach Access

House was great. Love electronic check ins. Well laid out, easily sleeps the number advertised. Love the deck and beach access. Great location when you want the beach without the bustle of town.
