No hot water in the sink, toilet was leaking and kept running all night. Little to no internet. Paper thin walls. Nice theme just old facilities. Bedspreads looked filthy but maybe that was the theme? The cleaning staff even left an envelope in the room for tips. All in all, I had hoped for more.

We had dirty water coming up through the drain of our tub after we checked in, and when we reached out to staff to ask for help, they didn't even respond until we mentioned it again at checkout. It was gross and we couldn't use our tub/shower because of it. There was also dried food stuck to the quilt. :( It was too bad, because it was kind of a neat place otherwise.

The Big Tex is a novelty. Our room was decorated nicely and the bed comfortable but the walls are very thin. We were greeted to our room by barking dogs next to us and once they calmed down 2 little kids were up until midnight playing hide and seek. Will eat at the restaurant next time through but will sleep elsewhere.

Our stay at the hotel was excellent, thanks to the attentive and helpful staff. We enjoyed skiing at Vail, and the shuttle bus was very convenient. The drivers were always friendly and attentive, and bartender A C provided superb service. The bar offered a great selection. Overall, we were very pleased with our experience.
