Excellent Visit!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Big Texan. We had a comfortable room with amenities, including washers and dryers on property, We had the restaurant across the way for a hearty breakfast at a reasonable price and a gift shop for souvenirs. Enjoyed dinner and watching those competing in the 72 ounce steak challenge. Excellent customer service. It was safe with additional security of the premises so we felt safe with our trailer there. We had no issues and will return again!

You can definitely tell this is an old motel that has been fixed up. While the decor is a nice touch, it still has the old motel feel. The bathroom is tiny and the bedspreads looked a little tattered. It was a decent place to spend one night.

Comfortable but simple

Comfortable stay while going back in time. Rooms are rustic and could use a little maintenance on the tub and toilet. The beds are comfortable, the a/c works great and there is a small fridge in the rooms. Fun stay eating dinner at the restaurant.

Tribute Stay

Another nice stop. Had a ribeye steak in tribute to my wife who died in june. Enjoyed it with my service dog Alex. Comfy hotel room and friendly nice people

Cute place. No service.

The place was nice. However it was lacking the right amount of towels and the pool was closed. When I messaged to ask for towels and why the pool was closed I never got a response. I was emailed multiple times from the start about checking about which was annoying when you are just starting your trip. Other than that it was cute.
