Our room was comfortable, however the bathroom sink lacked a Closure so we had to use a wash cloth to prevent items from accidentally going down the drain or to just wash our face and hands. Also the refrigerator did not seem to have a temperature control and the freezer portion had 2 to 4 inches of ice on it. It needed to be defrosted. Disappointed in the free breakfast offered and the breakfast room was too small to accommodate the number of guests. Staff was pleasant and room was comfortable.

We had problem in getting Fox New, and the manager, not only took time out of his busy schedule, but made sure that we got the channel. I breakfast was great and overall, we was happy with the service.

Bed bugs !!

Pros: In my past stays, the staff had been friendly.
Cons: Pest control!!
Location: Only good point was location.
On my last night stay, I found bites on my arm, just to discover bed bugs on the box springs. Upon checkout I was only given one out of a four night stay free. Very poor customer service. They told me they have a pest control service "on call" so they obviously have a problem!! After contacting them, they still would not refund my 4 night stay. Not a hotel I would recommend.

Nice staff located great in area

Great staff beds comfortable great location only negative comment I could make is maid staff needs to clean tubs a little better.

Super8 in Mentor, OH

Cons: Clean the facility - get rid of the stale cigaratte smell throughout the building, brighten up the breakfast room.
We stayed at this facility several years ago and it was ok, a place I would stay at again. This visit was different - the hallways smelled of old cigarette smoke and the small breakfast room was dark and looked dingy. The young lady at the front counter continued to talk on the telephone to a friend while we stood at the counter waiting for her to get off the telephone so she could check us in.

Worst hotel experience of my life.

The air conditioning didn't work, no screen on the window so it couldn't be left open, although HBO was featured, the channel was not obtainable, television picture quality was atrocious, you had to hold the handle on the toilet down in order to flush, Wi-Fi was extremely limited on the rare occasion that it worked.

Room was dirty! More than dirty, downright disgusting!

Pros: Quiet
Cons: No free Internet
The room I stayed in had stains on the walls, carpet was stained, bedsread had stains on it. The shower had mold growing in it. The bathroom floor had stains in the grout. The towels were very old and dingy, were not white or clean looking. The place looks good from the outside, inside of my room was very dirty and it felt very unclean. Complained to the foriegn staff who didn't seem to care. Had there been very few options due to the holiday, I would have stayed elsewhere.

Cheap but run down

Pros: Close restaurants, free ice, refrigerator, microwave oven
Cons: poor maintenance
The room they first assigned us had an unpleasant reek to it, but nothing you could pin down until later in the evening when it became evident that the faulty toilet wax seal was leaking sewage onto the bathroom floor. Yuk. Wall behind the commode showed some mold so perhaps this has been ongoing problem for a while. The room safe was not usable. The next day we got a different room. No aroma but again the room safe was not usable. Free paper was nice. Woke up to the sound like that of someone washing bowling balls in a washing machine against the wall at the head of the beds. Manager claims no idea why the noise.
