"Our second time staying here and, to be honest, although the stay was fine, a few things which disappointed; 1) the bar was shut early (by 6pm) most evenings; 2) breakfast (we didn’t have included, but paid for on one day, was poorly presented and expensive as every item/dish was separate on the menu (how is toast not included with a full English!?); 3) pillows were of poor quality and, disappointingly, grubby inside the cases and 4) reception/concierge staff were polite but had little/no knowledge of local amenities/restaurants etc. as “they weren’t local” - my wife even ended up trying to help a recently arrived elderly US visitor who wanted to get a “Full English” breakfast experience locally and the receptionist couldn’t/wouldn’t help! Overall we left a little disappointed with our experience this time and generally felt that although the hotel wanted to be ‘good’ it lacked detail and a bit of a personal/independent touch. N.B. the new (separate) cafe is a nice development and staff in there were very good, but a little strange re the laptop ‘thing’ after 10.30am! Hopefully this feedback is constructive and useful."

"This was our fourth stay at the Cloisters, and we chose it for its excellent location and reasonable rate for the area. We had a one bedroom suite of adequate space. The bed was comfortable and the bedroom had a window. Unfortunately that was the only window in the apartment and if faced west and the blazing afternoon sun - on the ninth floor - on the hottest day of the year! No air conditioning. A skylight in the living room added to the heat. We know that the hotel has no control of the weather but assigning a ninth floor room to a senior couple seems a little thoughtless. The real complaint is the deplorable and perhaps dangerous lack of lifts. There are five elevators in this part of the building. One is a service elevator not available to guests. The two main lobby elevators appear to be permanently out of service. This leaves two "back " elevators (small and slow) to service the entire nine floors. Often during our six day stay only one of those two were operating and on day five there was a period when there was NO elevator working."

"If you are looking to stay in a part of London, away from the tour groups, craziness, then Sloane Square is for you. I've been coming to London for 50 yrs and this is my favorite area.The hotel is not fancy but comfortable, easy to take the bus anywhere or walk and feels more like London than other areas. During the Chelsea Flower Show it is loud and crowded be aware that may not be the time you want to visit. The hotel has a nice breakfast room overlooking the square. (cost is extra). Rooms that face the square are lovely. I would stay here again."
