Situated in Central Michigan, Saginaw is a unique and charming city with sites ranging from the intriguing Castle Museum to the serene Shiawassee National Wildlife Refuge to the cool Marshall M. Fredericks Sculpture Museum. Needless to say, you won't have trouble finding something you enjoy here. Flights to Saginaw land at Freeland MBS International Airport (MBS), which is conveniently positioned near most of the metro region's attractions. Saginaw flights can also land at Flint's Bishop International Airport (FNT), which may be cheaper or more convenient for you.
Transportation from MBS and FNT
It's important to note that no public transportation routes service MBS, so you're going to have to arrange some form of private transportation. The good news is that MBS is only 14 miles from the city, so most Saginaw hotels can be reached by taxi quite cheaply, or quickly by rental car. To hail a taxi, simply wait at the designated curbside spot outside the main terminal. If you wish to arrange your own vehicle, simply choose a company with a counter in the main terminal. Having your own set of wheels will come in handy if you wish to explore the greater area—places like Huron-Manistee National Forests and Saginaw Bay are particular popular getaways.
If you fly into FNT, however, you'll be 37 miles from Saginaw, and your best option is to get a rental car from the lot adjacent the main terminal, or pay for a taxi ride to Saginaw.
