Flight Review

Nov 15, 2019

Possibly the only airline that,,, does everything right.

Nov 3, 2019

Great flights. Not crowded - lots of empty seats. Moscow airport not a very relaxing layover however.

Oct 17, 2019

This airline exceeded my expectations. It is better than American and European airlines. Great staff who went above and beyond to help make this very long flight a pleasant experience.

Oct 9, 2019

Not enough time to make my connecting flight to Stockholm. Only 50 minutes. Had to stay overnight in Moscow and missed a whole day of visiting with my Swedish friends. Very frustrating

Places to visit in Moscow

Travelers flock to see world-renowned attractions in rain or sunshine. So, whatever the forecast's like while you're in Moscow, there's no reason to miss out on Red Square and St. Basil's Cathedral.

So much to do and so little time. If you want to experience what the city has to offer, add the Moscow State University and the Bolshoi Theatre to your vacation itinerary. If you get the chance, try to stop by Cathedral of Christ the Savior and the State Historical Museum as well.

The whole family can get some inspiration, in addition to education, at Pushkin Museum of Fine Arts, which collects, preserves and presents art to help contribute to the culture of the community. Seeking some more options? Go see Lenin's Mausoleum to get a glimpse of days long gone. And that's not all. Go and see the exhibits at Kremlin Armoury Museum to learn more about military history.

How to get through airport security fast when traveling to Moscow

Your trip to Moscow begins the minute you've satisfied the security checks. We've put together a list of tips and pointers to help you get through quickly:

  • Make sure you know the whereabouts of your boarding pass and travel ID. You don't want to hold up the queue when you're asked to present them.
  • Remove your shoes and belt before arriving at the security checkpoint. Items like these are not allowed to pass through the body scanner.
  • Ensure your phone, laptop and other electronic devices are within reach. These items need to be put through the X-ray machine in separate bins.
  • Traveling with your favorite cologne or perfume? As long as it contains no more than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters) and it's stored in a clear zip-lock bag, you can keep it with you in your hand luggage.
  • Airport security personnel may instruct you to take off your shoes before entering the body scanner. Choose a pair that come off easily. There's nothing more irritating than having to do up your laces again and again.
  • The list of non-permissible items is forever updating. Browse your airline's website for what is not allowed on board their aircraft.

Flights To Moscow

Catch a flight to Moscow’s Sheremetyevo Airport (SVO) and explore the two sides of this city that make a visit intriguing and captivating. Experience the classic with renowned cultural attractions and fascinating history. Then explore the unexpected and shop hip boutiques or take the selfie of a lifetime on a unique rooftop tour. Rub elbows with the locals on a pub crawl and learn one of many superstitions: Empty bottles go under the table, not on it! Plane tickets to Moscow are just the beginning of your discovery of this enigmatic culture.

Transportation From SVO

SVO airport has been extensively modernized and has won awards for quality and service, so your Moscow flight experience should be smooth and comfortable. High-speed Aeroexpress trains run from the airport to Belorussky station in Moscow. The rail terminal is located near Terminal E, where most international flights land. However, you’ll need to take the airport shuttle if you fly into Terminal C. The Aeroexpress terminal contains many other amenities, including kiosks for videoconferencing, bank services, and car rental agencies. There are also city buses that run to the Rechnoy Vokzal, Planernaya, and Leninskiy Prospekt neighborhoods. If you’re taking a cab, you’ll need to order one at one of the taxi desks, which are located in all terminals. Need a hotel near Sheremetyevo Airport? This is the only airport in Russia where you can sleep in a “capsule hotel” right in the terminal. Get some shut-eye in comfortable cruise cabin-style “sleepboxes” for a space-age airport experience (with Wi-Fi!).
