"Convenient, Clean and Quiet"
My first impression of the hotel was not so great ... as I pulled up to a very small outdoor parking lot; thank goodness there was one last spot for me to park my first night. I decided at this point to lower my expectations ... then I approached the entrance and I saw an employee talking on his cell phone right at the front door (I thought he was security for the parking lot, but he ended up being the person who checked me in); he didn't even look up to greet me or say welcome. At first I was given a "Suite" on the ground floor which was really sub-basement (it felt like a dungeon) because it was the only room left with a King size bed. I asked if there were any rooms "above ground" and they said it was an additional $10 to "upgrade" to the 1st floor with 2 double beds. I know it's NY and I've lived here for 16 years, but the rooms were TINY! The only positive features were: the modern look/feel on the inside, convenience to where I was working, room was clean and quiet. In the end, it served its' purpose and it was apparently very popular with the amount of foreign guests staying there.
