Nice hotel/ safety issue however

The hotel was lovely. Unfortunately As soon as I got there my sneaker caught in the lobby rug and I tripped and fell. The desk clerk was very attentive and offered to help several times. We were not contacted after that by hotel staff to see how I was doing. We had to reach out to the manager the following day. We also observed another person tripping on the same rug and brought this to their attention. We had to ask for some kind of compensation. We received a one night refund. The rugs were not secured or removed during our stay. They are clearly a possible danger to their guests and this needs to be addressed

Located very close to highway so very loud all night. Room was a good size and clean. Crazy they charge you for parking in Waltham where there is plenty of parking for free and it’s not disclosed. Front desk person just shrugged when asked why and silly they would charge this which starts your stay on a low point. Plenty of hotels in area so I’d pick someplace less noisy and without hidden fees

This time I had an encounter with a staff member that was not pleasant. I usually give a higher rating but I found my encounter unsettling. That person was responsible for cleanliness in the eating area and dismissed my concern over dirty seats. I hope this tone does not happen again.

Overall it was nice. The breakfast was lack-luster. There was a lot of road noise from the highway, but that didn’t bother us. The beds weren’t super comfortable. The look of the hotel is nice and updated. It was clean. Check in was easy. Parking was $14 a day.
